Eight Hour Day. The Contractor shall comply with M.G.L. c. 149, s. 30, 34 and 34A which provide that no laborer, xxxxxxx, mechanic, xxxxxxx or inspector working within the Commonwealth in the employ of the Contractor, subcontractor or other person doing or contracting to do the whole or part of the Work shall be required or permitted to work more than eight hours in any one day or more than forty-eight hours in any one week, or more than six days in any one week, except in cases of extraordinary emergency.

Eight Hour Day. (a) All employees will work an eight (8) hour day at straight time rates with time and one half to be paid for all hours over eight (8) hours in each day up to ten (10) hours.   • Holiday Falling on a Scheduled Workday An Employee who works on a designated holiday which is a scheduled workday shall be compensated at the rate of double time for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday; except for Christmas and New Year's when the compensation shall be at the rate of double time and one-half (2½) for hours worked, plus a day off subject to this Agreement.

  • Holiday During Vacation If a holiday, named under Article 7 of this Agreement, falls within the vacation period of an employee, he shall be granted an additional day's pay in lieu of the holiday.

  • Holiday Falling on a Day of Rest ‌ (a) When a paid holiday falls on a regular full-time employee's day of rest, the employee shall be entitled to a day off with pay in lieu of the holiday. (b) If a regular full-time employee is called in to work on the day designated as the lieu day pursuant to (a) above, he/she shall be compensated at time and one-half for all hours worked.
