Layover Time. Where an employee is required to remain in the field on Saturday, Sunday or a General Holiday, he shall be paid eight (8) hours for each such day at straight time rates.
Layover Time. The Authority shall provide not less than three (3) min- utes layover in all motor coach schedules after each trip at the outer terminal except when this layover conflicts with orders from a court or municipal authority or when the coach is arriving at the outer terminal for the first time following a pull-out from the garage. The Authority will make every rea- sonable attempt to provide restroom facilities available on all routes when possible. If the Authority is unable to provide restroom facilities on one or more routes it shall, upon notice, meet with the Union to discuss alternative restroom accom- modations.
Layover Time. Bus/vehicle drivers are directed to remain at the location of the event to which the trip is made unless otherwise noted, will be paid for all hours at the location.
a. Shuttles shall be a minimum of two (2) hours out and two (2) hours back.
Layover Time. The maximum layover between runs is one (1) hour. The maximum layover between kindergarten runs and afternoon high school runs shall be one‐half (1/2) hour.
Layover Time. During layover time between routes, the driver shall make use of this time for minor cleaning, to inspect and report maintenance items on his/her school bus.
Layover Time. Bus drivers/bus assistants shall be subject to the provisions relative to layover herein provided. If there 33 are forty-five (45) minutes during an AM or PM route or thirty (30) minutes or less between an AM or 34 PM route to a midday, the base hourly rate shall continue uninterrupted. Drivers/bus assistants are 35 required to perform other duties during this time. Other duties are defined as bus cleaning, student 36 discipline, route updates, shredding and paperwork, etc. Additionally, layover time is not applicable 37 when a bus driver/bus assistant has bid on and receives an extra trip. 38
Layover Time. When a driver is required to layover away from the driver’s home terminal, layover pay shall commence following the fourteenth (14th) hour after the end of the run. If driver is held over after the fourteenth (14th) hour, he/she shall receive layover pay for each hour held over up to eight (8) hours in the first twenty-two (22) hours of layover period, commencing after the run ends. This pay shall be in addition to the pay to which the driver is entitled if put to work any time within the twenty-two (22) hours after the run ends. The same principle shall apply to each suc- ceeding eighteen (18) hours. Drivers shall not be compelled to report to work at the home termi- nal until they have had ten (10) hours off-duty time. Whenever any Employer arbitrarily abuses the free time allowed in this Section, then this shall be considered to be a dispute and the same shall be subject to being handled in accordance with the Grievance Procedure set forth in this contract. It is further agreed where the time limit on layover interferes with regular running schedule, it shall be a shop condition. When on compensable layover on Sunday and holidays there shall be a meal allowance of ten dollars ($10.00); five (5) hours there- after, ten dollars ($10.00); and five (5) hours later a third meal allowance of ten dollars ($10.00). No more than three meals will be allowed during any 24-hour period.
Layover Time. In the event a driver is required to layover at some point away from hi$/her home terminal, he/she shall be paid as follows: a full eight (8) hours of pay at the regular rate of pay. This will constitute one eight (8) hour day in the regular span of twenty-four (24) hours.
Layover Time. Layover time is non-driving time in and away from home terminal, when a driver does not return on the next scheduled departure. Layover time of up to four (4) hours does not accrue for overtime, however, after four (4) hours, overtime will immediately be payable at double-time (2x) for the rest of the shift. It is agreed that shuttling of coaches during layovers is non-driving time providing the Employer does not require a driver to shuttle a coach to the extent of such driver missing their departure time. If the Employer schedules a driver to shuttle a coach so that the driver misses their departure time, such time will accrue to overtime rates.
Layover Time. Layover time is the time between regular runs that is less than thirty (30) minutes that a driver is not driving. Unit members will be paid for layover time which occurs between regular runs. Drivers may be expected to complete job related tasks during that time.
