Elementary and Secondary School Staffing a) The Board will staff the elementary and secondary schools in the school system subject to its financial ability, the availability of qualified and acceptable staff and the availability of classroom space as approved by the Ministry of Education and as required under the Education Act, and its related Regulations as might be amended from time to time, in consultation with the Joint Staffing Committee.

Elementary and Secondary School Staffing. The Board will staff the elementary and secondary schools in the school system subject to its financial ability, the availability of qualified and acceptable staff and the availability of classroom space as approved by the Ministry of Education and as required under section 170.1 as per the Education Act and Regulations, as may be amended from time to time. Additionally, the Board shall abide by the Ministry of Education’s Primary Class Size Initiative and ensure that all provisions set out in the Provincial Discussion Table (PDT) Agreement of May 1, 2008, shall be implemented according to the timeframe as set out in the PDT.
