Typically, this clause clarifies that any activities, works, or operations covered by the contract must comply with the requirements, permits, or guidance issued by the Environment Agency. For example, it may require the parties to obtain necessary environmental permits or to notify the Agency before commencing certain works. The core function of this clause is to ensure that all contractual activities adhere to environmental regulations and standards, thereby minimizing legal and environmental risks.
