Evening Conference Time. The District may assign any or all teachers in K-12 instructional programs, to be present for duty on two (2) evenings during each semester, for up to three (3) hours per evening, for consultation, conferences, and meetings with parents and/or students. School sites may schedule additional evening conferences as needed within the 187 duty day work year. Teachers may be granted compensatory time off on a date specified by the District, on a similar pro rata basis.

Evening Conference Time. The District may assign any or all educational assistants to be present for duty on regularly scheduled conferences, consultation and meetings with parents and/or students. Compensation shall be based on the educational assistant’s normal daily/hourly rate up to forty (40) hours of work in a week, consistent with, Subd. 7.1.1 of this article. Educational assistants may be granted compensatory time off on a date specified by the District in lieu of the above-described compensation, consistent with, Subd. 7.2.2 of this article. Each evening conference comprises one-half (1/2) day of work for a total of two (2) regular duty days of work per year. 7.7.1 There are normally four (4) evening conferences scheduled in the school year. If an educational assistant is not needed at a conference, alternative days or hours shall be assigned to fulfill the work year assignment. Conferences are part of the one hundred eighty-four (184) workdays each year.

  • Conference Leave Upon written request, supported by a copy of an invitation, an employee shall be granted leave paid at full salary of up to two thirty-fifths of their Appointment Contract(s) to present papers at academic conferences. Such leave shall not be claimed if an authorized exchange of services agreeable to the employee can be arranged.

  • Show Up Time An employee who reports to work in the usual manner without having been notified that there is no work available and is sent home because of lack of work before having worked four (4) hours shall receive a minimum of four (4) hours pay at their prevailing hourly rate. The employee shall also receive their full accommodation allowance if and when applicable. Each employee must inform the Employer of a means of being contacted on short notice. If an attempt is made by the Employer at least two (2) hours before the employee’s shift commences by way of the contact information provided, in an effort to inform the employee of a lack of work, and the Employer is unable to do so, the employee will not be entitled to show up time.
