Common use of Examination Leave Clause in Contracts

Examination Leave. Where an employee participates in a personnel selection process for a position with the Employer, the employee shall be granted leave of absence without loss of regular pay for the period during which the employee's presence is required for purposes of the selection or promotion process and for such further period as the Employer considers reasonable for the employee to travel to and from the place where his presence is so required. Such leave of absence shall not be considered to be "on the Employer's business", for purposes of expenses incurred under Article 29. Such leave of absence shall be requested by the employee of his supervisor as soon after the requirement of his presence is known.
