EXEMPT WORK SITUATIONS. Except when required to as part of an employee’s regular duties and/or approved in advance, time spent in study courses, seminars, and meetings of professional groups during a holiday listed in subsection 9.A. (Holidays Defined) is not considered work time. Employees assigned to or approved in advance to spend time in study courses, seminars, and meetings of professional groups during a holiday listed in subsection 9.A. (Holidays Defined) shall be compensated as set forth in subsection 9.E. (Holiday Compensation).‌
EXEMPT WORK SITUATIONS. Employees attending education courses, seminars or meetings of a professional group, pursuant to Article 12. Education Leave, that fall on a holiday are not eligible for time and one half pay on that day.

  • Emergency Situations If the condition is an emergency, this will be communicated to the Contractor with the request that corrections are to be accomplished immediately. The Contractor shall respond to the notice in emergency situations within twenty-four hours. If the Contractor fails to respond within this time limit, the Owner may correct the defect and charge the Contractor for the Work. If it is determined the complaint is not the responsibility of the Contractor, the Contractor shall be promptly paid for the cost of the corrective work. The Contractor shall give notice in writing to the Owner when corrections have been completed.
