(a) A teacher who has worked for Midland Public Schools for at least one year and for at least 1,250 hours during the previous twelve (12) months may be eligible for up to twelve (12) weeks of unpaid, equivalent job-protected leave for certain family and medical reasons including: -care for the teacher's child after birth, or by adoption or xxxxxx care. -care for the teacher's spouse, son or daughter, or parent who has a serious health condition. -a serious health condition that makes the teacher unable to perform the teacher's job.
