Food Policy. The purpose of the Student Center Food Policy as outlined below is to provide opportunities for meetings and events with food that can be held safely, consistent with Public Health Department guidelines, and without undue potential for damage to Student Center space. Xxxxx State Catering is the sole provider of food totaling $200 or more in Student Center managed spaces (including snacks). o Non-perishable snacks including chips, candy, soft drinks, donuts, cookies, cupcakes and sheet cakes. o Pre-packaged, store purchased cheese trays, vegetable trays, fruit trays, individually packaged salsa and individually packaged hummus. o Pizza is permitted but must be served with serving utensils (e.g. spatula) and gloves. Pizza must be served immediately upon delivery to the room. o Under $200 worth of food purchased from only the following local campus vendors: Xx-Xxxxx Subs, Dunkin' Donuts, Einstein Bros. Bagels, Freshii, Delite Café, Xxxxx Xxxxx, LaPita Fresh, Panda Express, Starbucks (Xxxxxxx & Student Center), Subway, Taco Bell, Wingstop. Food must be served immediately upon delivery to the room and a receipt from the purchase must be kept with the food at all times. o Food that requires refrigeration or warming to maintain proper health regulation temperature, unless provided by Xxxxx State Catering or the above approved locations. o Heating units (e.g. crock pots, skillets & serving dishes with warmers), unless provided by Xxxxx State Dining Services or the above approved locations. Xxxxx State Catering through Dining Services is the sole provider of food totaling $1,000 or more in Student Center managed spaces (including snacks). • For more information on these policies including waiver forms, visit: xxxxx://xxxxxxxxxxxxx.xxxxx.edu/reservations/food- service • Food must be served immediately upon delivery to the room and a receipt from the purchase must be kept with the food at all times. WSU and its employees and agents are released and indemnified from any and all liability for claims or damage including injury or illness associated with the consumption of food or beverage provided for any meeting or event by the student organization, department or outside organization.
Food Policy.  A licensed caterer of your choice may be used. The caterer will be required to provide proof of licensor and insurance 14 days prior to the rental date. Catering references are available upon request.  The contract holder/organization may provide their own food as long as it is prepared (fully cooked) off site and not prepared in the kitchen. The use of the kitchen equipment is available to keep food cold or hot. The kitchen may also be used to stage food to be served (i.e. cutting veggies, arranging meat trays).  Peanuts in the shell, popcorn and cotton candy may not be served.  Catering equipment and supplies may only be delivered on the day of the event and must be removed by the ending time on the rental permit.  Provision and serving of alcohol is allowed but must be by a licensed vendor holding a Public Premises license. Our alcohol vendors are Acapulco Catering and Big Ten Catering. Serving of alcoholic beverages must end at 11:30pm.  Persons under 21 years of age may not be allowed to consume alcoholic beverages.  Alcohol may not be brought into the facility by the contract holder or guests. If alcohol is brought into the facility, the damage deposit will be retained.  Security is required when alcohol is being served. Arrangements will be made with New Brighton Public Safety by NBCC staff. A minimum of 3 hours is required. The $55 per hour fee will be added to the facility permit. Payment will be required with the final payment 30 days prior to the rental date. If time is extended to 1am, payment for 4 hours of security will be required regardless of the actual time. Once a security request has been posted by Public Safety, the $55 per hour fee will not be refunded if the renter chooses to cancel their event.  Confirmation of alcohol serving must be made by 60 days prior to the rental date. Once Public Safety has confirmed a security officer for the event, no fees will be refunded, even if alcohol is not served.
