Frequent Flyer Points. (a) The Bargaining Agent and the Corporation recognize that frequent flyer points are not provided by the Corporation but may be issued by the airlines. (b) When an airline’s policy provides frequent flyer points, these will accrue to employees on Corporation travel according to the airline’s policies. (c) If an airline stops issuing frequent flyer points, the Corporation will not substitute points nor compensate employees for this change of airline policy.

Frequent Flyer Points. 11.1 Employees are expected to utilise frequent flyer points acquired through APVMA travel to meet the costs of other APVMA related travel. Frequent flyer points accrued in the course of work related travel is only to be used for work related travel. Employees are to provide yearly reports on available frequent flyer points to the APVMA’s Finance Manager.
Frequent Flyer Points. 48.1 Frequent flyer points accrued by Employees during work related travel may only be used by the Employee for further work related travel as follows: (a) to pay for additional work related flights; (b) to pay for airline lounge membership or renewal; or (c) to upgrade tickets to business class for work related travel for flights with an expected flight time of more than three hours duration.

Departments of the Public Service of Canada are by law (Public Service Staff Relations Act) unable to honour employment outside the Public Service as being eligible for vacation leave and severance pay. A CCC employee who transfers to the Public Service of Canada, thereby will loose eligibility for vacation and severance pay for the time employed at CCC. Any unused, accrued vacation as at the time of the transfer will be paid to the employee. A transferred employee will be compensated as follows:

Frequent Flyer Points. If the Policyholder or the Insured opts for this Cover and had purchased the airline ticket (and/or other Common Carrier/Public Carrier ticket ) of the Trip using frequent flyer or similar reward points and the trip is subsequently cancelled as a result of the contingencies mentioned under the base cover of ‘Trip Cancellation’ or its extension and the loss of such points cannot be recovered from any other source, We will reimburse the Policyholder or the Insured for the booking amount, using the conversion factor of the frequent flyer/reward program service provider, subject to the overall liability of the Company not exceeding the Sum Insured as specified in the Policy Schedule/Certificate of Insurance.
