Public Service Staff Relations Act. An employee may by written notice to his immediate supervisor or officer-in-charge abandon a grievance. No person shall seek by intimidation, by threat of dismissal or by any other kind of threat to cause an employee to abandon his grievance or refrain from exercising his right to present a grievance, as provided in this Collective Agreement.
Public Service Staff Relations Act. In determining the time within which any action is to be taken as prescribed in this procedure, Saturdays, Sundays and designated paid holidays shall be excluded. Where the provisions of clause cannot be complied with and it is necessary to present a grievance by mail, the grievance shall be deemed to have been presented on the day on which it is postmarked and it shall be deemed to have been received by the Employer on the day it is delivered to the appropriate office of the Agency concerned. Similarly, the Employer shall be deemed to have delivered a reply at any step on the date on which the letter containing the reply is postmarked, but the time limit within which the may present grievance at the next higher step shall be calculated from the date on which the Employer's reply was delivered to the address shown on the grievance form. The time limits stipulated in this procedure may be extended by mutual agreement between the Employer and the employee and, where appropriate the Institute representative, except as provided in clause Where it appears that the nature of the grievance is such that a decision cannot be given below a particular step of authority, any or all the steps except the final step may be eliminated by agreement of the Employer and the employee, and, where applicable, the Institute. Where the Employer demotes or terminates an employee for cause pursuant to paragraph or of the Financial Administration Act, the grievance procedure set forth in this Agreement shall apply except that: the grievance may be presented at the final step only, and the twenty (20) day time limit within which the Employer is to reply at the final step may be extended to a maximum of forty days by mutual agreement of the Employer and the appropriate representative of the Institute. When a new service or drug becomes available, when possible, we will review it within six (6) months of one of the events described below to determine whether the new service or drug will be covered: • the assignment of an American Medical Association (AMA) Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) code in the annual CPT publication; • final Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval; • the assignment of processing codes other than CPT codes or approval by governing or regulatory bodies other than the FDA; • submission to us of a claim meeting the criteria above; and • generally, the first date an FDA approved prescription drug is available in pharmacies (for prescription drug coverage only). During the review period, new services and drugs are not covered. For all covered healthcare services, please see the Summary of Medical Benefits and the Summary of Pharmacy Benefits to determine the amount that you pay and any benefit limits.

  • Public Safety The Permittee shall comply with the following provisions.

  • Interstate Educational Personnel Contracts 1. The designated state official of a party state may make 1 or more contracts on behalf of his state with 1 or more other party states providing for the acceptance of educational personnel. Any such contract for the period of its duration shall be applicable to and binding on the states whose designated state officials enter into it, and the subdivisions of those states, with the same force and effect as if incorporated in this agreement. A designated state official may enter into a contract pursuant to this article only with states in which he finds that there are programs of education, certification standards or other acceptable qualifications that assure preparation or qualification of educational personnel on a basis sufficiently comparable, even though not identical to that prevailing in his own state.

  • Employee Safety A. Any employee who is injured or who is involved in an accident during the course of his/her employment, no matter how slight the injury, shall file an accident report with the designated supervisor, as soon as possible after the injury and prior to the conclusion of the employee's work day, whenever possible. While the initial report may be given orally, it must be followed up within 48 hours with a written report on the First Report of Injury form which shall be submitted to the appropriate administrator/supervisor who shall then submit it to the appropriate Human Resources Department.

  • Outpatient emergency and urgicenter services within the service area The emergency room copay applies to all outpatient emergency visits that do not result in hospital admission within twenty-four (24) hours. The urgicenter copay is the same as the primary care clinic office visit copay.
