The district will pay 90% of the single medical premium only and the employee will pick up the remaining 10% of the single medical premium. Any dental and/or vision will be paid at 100% by the employee. Any employee who does not elect medical insurance and wants dental insurance the district will pay 80% of the premium and the employee will pay 20% of the premium. Full-Time Employee Defined. Full-time employees are defined as any employees who are designated as full- time in their current job classification (EMT or Paramedic) and who work an average of forty (40) hours per week. Full-time employees may apply to become part-time employees. The employee must request such a change in writing to the Employer for approval at least thirty (30) days prior to the desired date to become part-time. Requests to change from full-time to part-time status shall be to one (1) time per calendar year per each full-time employee.
