General Provisions for Leaves of Absence Without Pay. (a) All applications for leave of absence without pay shall be made in writing to the Manager, Clinic Services or delegate five (5) weeks in advance, except in extenuating circumstances, in order that staff substitutions may be arranged. Applicants shall indicate in their application their intended date of departure and date of return. The Employer will give the nurse a written reply within ten (10) days of the receipt of the request except, in the case of extenuating circumstances, the reply will be given to the nurse as soon as possible.
