Jury/Court Duty Leave Sample Clauses

Jury/Court Duty Leave. If a nurse is required to serve as a juror in any court of law, or required by subpoena or summons to attend a court of law, or coroner's inquest proceeding, or is required to attend a hearing of the College of Nurses, she shall not lose her regular pay because of such attendance provided that she: (a) Notifies the Employer immediately upon her notification that she will be required to attend court, coroner's inquest or hearing; (b) Presents proof of service requiring her attendance; and (c) Promptly repays the amount (other than expenses) paid to her for such service or attendance, to the Employer.
Jury/Court Duty Leave. If a regular full-time employee is required to serve as a juror in any court of law or coroner's inquest proceeding or required by subpoena or summons to attend a court of law, or coroner's inquest proceeding, she shall not lose her regular pay because of such attendance provided that she: (a) notifies the Employer immediately upon receipt of her notification that she will be required to attend court or coroner's inquest; (b) presents proof of service requiring her attendance; and (c) promptly repays the amount (other than expenses) paid to her for such service or attendance, to the Employer. Pay for regular part-time or temporary employees shall be limited to such employee's posted scheduled hours of work up to a maximum of seven and one-half (7.5) hours per working day scheduled, provided such employee complies with 21.02 (a), (b), and (c) above.

Jury/Court Duty Leave. An employee required to serve as a juror or subpoenaed as a witness in a court action, shall be granted a leave of absence without loss of regular earnings provided the employee; (a) notifies the Employer immediately upon receipt of her notification that she will be required to attend court; (b) presents proof of service requiring her attendance; and (c) promptly repays the amount (other than expenses) paid to her for such service or attendance, to the Employer. A leave of absence without pay will be granted to an employee whose private affairs have occasioned a court appearance.

Jury/Court Duty Leave. 33.01 (a) Regular employees who are required by law to serve as jurors or subpoenaed as witnesses in any court shall be granted to a leave of absence, with pay, equal to the time required for the employee's court attendance(s).
Jury/Court Duty LeaveWhenever an employee not being on duty is called out, or is called out for Court duty, providing it is from causes arising out of his employment, such employee shall be entitled to pay at time and one-half (1 1/2) his hourly rate for a minimum of three (3) hours.
Jury/Court Duty LeaveThe Employer shall grant a leave of absence without loss of seniority to an employee who is called to jury roll call, to serve as a juror, or is participating as a subpoenaed witness in any court. The Employer shall pay such employee the difference between his normal earnings and the payment received for such service based on the employee’s scheduled working days, excluding payment of travel, meals, or other expenses. The employee shall present proof of service and attendance and the amount of pay received.

A leave of absence without pay will be granted to an employee whose private affairs have occasioned a court appearance.
Jury/Court Duty Leave a) All employees are eligible for court/jury duty leave based on their posted and confirmed scheduled hours of work. b) A leave of absence, with pay, will be granted to an employee who is subpoenaed by the employer or the crown as a witness in a court action or is required to serve as a juror in any court of law. c) A leave of absence, without pay, will be granted to an employee whose private affairs have occasioned a court appearance or is subpoenaed by an agent other than the crown or is accused and jailed pending court appearance. d) The employee shall provide proof of service, if requested. The amount paid to the employee for service as a juror shall be promptly repaid to Canadian Blood Services as reimbursement for time the employee is normally scheduled to work to a maximum of the employee’s regular pay for the period of time.
