General Provisions For Short-Term And Long-Term Unpaid Personal Leaves. Accrued vacation must be exhausted before a long term unpaid personal leave begins. An employee shall not be eligible for sick leave or disability benefits while on an approved unpaid leave. Xxxx leave and vacation will not accrue while an employee is on unpaid leave. If the employee returns to active employment at the University within the limits specified by the unpaid leave of absence agreement, sick leave shall be restored to its former level. Acceptance of any employment inconsistent with the unpaid leave will result in termination.
