Grant Assistance. The County shall, at the City's request, assist the City in all reasonable ways to obtain grants and other funds from state or federal agencies or departments in order that the City may obtain financial assistance to make improvements to the sewage system presently owned and operated by the City, and in order that the City may obtain financial assistance to defray, in whole or in part, cost incurred as a result of this Agreement and/or costs incurred to construct or maintain any collection facilities deemed necessary by the City to comply with the terms of this Agreement. 9 Sewer Agreement 10/07/2022

Grant Assistance. ▪ 2015 Active Transportation Program Grant writing and development assistance for three Los Angeles County cities on behalf of Los Angeles Metro. Developed three grant applications, including project development, in two-month period for projects that improved pedestrian and bike passage ways for students, older adults, and entire communities. Projects included: The City of Lancaster Road Diet and Bike Lane Project will provide a Safe Route to School for two elementary schools and added three miles of new bike lanes along a high-speed corridor; The City of Arcadia’s Bike Facility program will add 15.5 miles of bike lanes that traverse the City, connecting to the new Gold Line Station and regional employers and will serve 10 schools; The City of Lynwood’s Pedestrian Improvements will add almost 2 miles of pedestrian walkways that will increase safety, provide linkages to the City’s walking park, the Green Line Station, and one middle school. All three projects were successfully funded and will receive Federal ATP Funds, for a success rate of 100% compared to a 14% overall selection rate for the overall statewide application pool. ▪ 2013-2015 Title VI Program Development and Technical Assistance for Small Urban and Rural Transit Providers: Interpreting FTA Circulars and guidance to develop tools, templates, and resources for smaller transit operators; presentation of materials at CalACT’s 2013 and 2014 Spring conferences and two state-wide conferences, Title VI Program development for six small urban and rural transit providers and two RTPA’s. ▪ 2012 and 2015 assistance to human service and public transit agencies with JARC, New Freedom and 5310 grant development. Grant Assistance. LIEDC (Lao-India Entrepreneurship Development Centre) set up in November 2004, trains Lao entrepreneurs for setting up small and medium scale business. It has so far trained more than 15,000 individuals. Centre for Excellence in Software Development and Training (CESDT) set up under ASEAN-India cooperation was inaugurated in Vientiane in November, 2018. So far, CESDT has imparted training to around 400 participants in different courses from different organizations of Lao PDR including government officials. Quick Impact Projects (QIPs) : An umbrella agreement for Indian Grant Assistance for QIPs was signed between India and Lao PDR on 18 September, 2015 valid for 5 years, then extended for another five years in 2020. So far, MOUs for 26 QIPs have been signed, including for 10 QIPs during EAM visit in July 2024. Of earlier 16 projects, 11 projects have been completed/handed over to Lao side and 5 QIPs signed in July 2023 are under advanced stage of implementation.

  • Audit Assistance Each of the Parties and their respective Subsidiaries are or may be subject to regulation and audit by a Governmental Authority (including a Taxing Authority), standards organizations, customers or other parties to contracts with such Parties or their respective Subsidiaries under applicable Law, standards or contract provisions. If a Governmental Authority, standards organization, customer or other party to a contract with a Party or its Subsidiary exercises its right to examine or audit such Party’s or its Subsidiary’s books, records, documents or accounting practices and procedures pursuant to such applicable Law, standards or contract provisions, and such examination or audit relates to the Services, then the other Party shall provide, at the sole cost and expense of the requesting Party, all assistance reasonably requested by the Party that is subject to the examination or audit in responding to such examination or audits or requests for Information, to the extent that such assistance or Information is within the reasonable control of the cooperating Party and is related to the Services.

  • Transition Assistance If this Contract is not renewed at the end of this term, if the Contract is otherwise terminated before project completion, or if particular work on a project is terminated for any reason, Contractor shall provide transition assistance for a reasonable, mutually agreed period of time after the expiration or termination of this Contract or particular work under this Contract. The purpose of this assistance is to allow for the expired or terminated portion of the services to continue without interruption or adverse effect, and to facilitate the orderly transfer of such services to State or its designees. The parties agree that such transition assistance is governed by the terms and conditions of this Contract, except for those terms or conditions that do not reasonably apply to such transition assistance. State shall pay Contractor for any resources utilized in performing such transition assistance at the most current Contract rates. If State terminates a project or this Contract for cause, then State may offset the cost of paying Contractor for the additional resources Contractor utilized in providing transition assistance with any damages State may have sustained as a result of Contractor’s breach.

  • Tuition Assistance Bargaining unit employees can enroll in university or college, vocational technical school or extension courses. The course may be by correspondence or attendance at classes during non-working hours or during working hours with approval of the Agency Head and/or his/her Designee. Where practicable, in relation to work requirements, the Employer shall be liberal with the approval of requests for accrued/unused vacation leave, flex-time scheduling, compensatory time, or leave without pay for the purpose of enabling employees to attend classes conducted during an employee's regularly scheduled work hours.

  • Mutual Assistance The Parties will do all things reasonably necessary or appropriate to carry out the terms and provisions of this Agreement and to aid and assist each other in carrying out such terms and provisions.

  • Termination Assistance Services Following the termination of this Agreement and/or any Ordering Document, the Parties may agree for Axway to provide transition services pursuant to a duly executed SOW, during which time this Agreement will continue in full force and effect solely to the extent necessary to allow such transition services to be performed. Axway agrees that the costs for any such services shall be comparable to the fees charged to other customers for similar types of services.

  • Termination Assistance Upon nearing the end of the final term or termination of this Agreement, without respect to cause, the Party shall take all reasonable and prudent measures to facilitate any transition required by the State. All State property, tangible and intangible, shall be returned to the State upon demand at no additional cost to the State in a format acceptable to the State.

  • Technical Assistance DFPS may provide informal support, guidance, clarification, and other forms of technical assistance via phone, email, and virtual meeting to resolve Grant or performance compliance issues. Grantee will document all such instances of technical assistance by DFPS in writing, including any implementation work.
