Grant Writing. It is recognized that monetary grants provide mutual benefit for COP ESD students and the students of the local school districts. It is also recognized that grant writing requires time and expertise. The following process provides incentives to COP ESD staff writing grant proposals:
Grant Writing. This includes participation in pre-grant workshops, grant meetings and presentations, grant research and development, grant writing, and other approved grant activities outside those covered by other articles of this contract.
Grant Writing. This module will present an overview of the narrative components required in the grant writing process, as well as the financial components of a grant proposal. • The Agency shall afford that each nonprofit organization will have access to an online webpage that will include content and communication tools. The website will have definitions and sample documents of best practices related to each module. In addition, the website will provide the opportunity for discussion and question and answer (Q&A) forums throughout the training experience. Course instructors will develop the content and facilitate web-based discussions. • Upon commencement of the training seminar, the Agency will provide each nonprofit organization representative:
Grant Writing a. The City and ARFOP jointly agree that ARFOP and City staff share responsibility for identifying grant opportunities.
b. XXXXX agrees that ARFOP staff will prepare and submit grant applications with the assistance of City staff.
c. The City agrees that City staff is responsible for providing ARFOP with content in regarding theregarding to the program the grant is to fund.
d. XXXXX agrees that ARFOP staff is responsible for providing the organizational and financial information requested in the application.
e. ARFOP and the City jointly agree that both ARFOP and City staff will participate in any meetings associated with the application process.
Grant Writing. (6/01) Grant applications must be submitted in writing to the building principal and superintendent for approval. Teachers who write awarded grants will receive compensation for the value of the grant, excluding district contribution. This compensation will be received in the following manner: (5/03)
1. Two hours of comp time (Article 26) will be earned for every hour of actual writing time for all grants with a value, excluding matching funds, of under $3000. (5/03)
2. For grants with a value, excluding matching funds, of $3000 or more, the teacher will earn eight percent (8%) of the value of the grant, provided the administrative fee is included and approved within the grant, excluding matching funds. (8/04)
Grant Writing. Up to two (2) days of release time per year may be provided by the District, as determined by Administration of the District, for those district employees who wish to write a grant. The building principal must approve the release time and support the proposed grant. An additional day may be granted by the building principal for administering the grant if received and if the building principal believes time is needed.
Grant Writing. The board will provide training for grant writing during the school year. Seven percent of the grant awarded will be given to the writer.

Grant Writing. A bargaining unit member who writes a grant that allows an administrative fee shall receive the administrative fee from the grant funds when received by the school district. If a bargaining unit member wishes to write a grant that does not allow an administrative fee, she/he may appeal to the School Board directly or through the Superintendent, at the employee’s option, to receive an amount equivalent to 10% of the funding from that grant prior to the writing of the grant.
Grant Writing. Any individual(s) who successfully write(s) a grant pre-approved by the Superintendent or designee which is funded in all or part and maximizes indirect costs to the District shall be entitled to an amount equivalent to ten (10%) percent of the funded indirect costs not to exceed $5,000. A second year application of a similar grant shall be entitled to an amount equivalent to five (5%) percent of the funded indirect costs not to exceed $2,500. All grant applications must be preapproved by the Superintendent or designee and have a positive net impact on the bottom line of the District.
