Illness During Vacation Leave. An employee who becomes incapacitated for work due to his/her illness or injury for more than three (3) consecutive calendar days while on paid vacation, may substitute sick leave credits for vacation, provided the employee's request for sick leave substitution is accompanied by a doctor's statement or other satisfactory evidence.

Illness During Vacation Leave. An employee on vacation leave who becomes incapacitated for work due to his/her illness or injury for more than three (3) consecutive calendar days while on paid vacationis ill, may substitute have such days restored to vacation leave credit and take them at another mutually agreed time, provided sick leave credits for vacationare available and used. Proof will be required, provided in the employee's request for sick leave substitution is accompanied by form of a doctor's statement certificate from a medical practitioner stating the employee would have been unable to work as a result of the illness or other satisfactory evidencenon compensable accident.
