Illness While On Duty. Employees who report for duty and are unable to continue because of sudden illness will be counted as absent for the number of hours and minutes not worked. Minutes shall be a minimum of fifteen (15) minute intervals.

Illness While On Duty. (a) A pilot who becomes ill while on duty away from home base and who is unable to perform further duties, is entitled to: • normal allowance up until sign-off in home base, plus reasonable out- of-pocket expenses. If the pilot is hospitalised, meal allowances will cease whilst the pilot is hospitalised. Reasonable out-of-pocket expenses incurred by the pilot while away from home base must be met by the employer; • accommodation of an appropriate standard (if required); • transport to and from airport, accommodation or doctor; • booked travel to home base; • transport to home or doctor if the pilot requires this on arrival at home base.
