Immediate Supervisor Stage a) An employee or the Union shall present the grievance orally or in writing to the employee’s immediate supervisor within ten (10) days after the grievance occurs. Said supervisor forthwith upon receiving such grievance shall make a good faith effort to resolve same including, as appropriate, discussions with the employee, investigation, and consultation with his/her superiors. Said supervisor shall reply to the employee or the Union, in writing, within ten (10) days of the submission of such grievance.

If the matter is satisfactorily resolved, the employee, supervisor, or appointing authority and Union representative, if any, shall each sign a memorandum showing the nature of the grievance and stating that the matter has been satisfactorily resolved. A copy of this memorandum shall immediately be sent to the Commissioner of Personnel. Said memorandum shall remain filed permanently in the employee’s file.

  • Immediate Supervisor The term "immediate supervisor" as used in this Article refers to the appropriate non-bargaining unit supervisory or management person to whom the employee is accountable.

  • Level Three - Superintendent Within ten (10) days of receipt of the decision rendered by the Executive Director of Human Resources, any party in interest may appeal the Director’s decision to the Superintendent, or designee, on forms provided by the School District and the Association. The appeal shall include a copy of the decisions of Level One and Level Two and the grounds for regarding the decision as incorrect. Within ten (10) days after receipt of the appeal, the Superintendent, or designee, shall communicate the decision in writing to all parties in interest. The decision shall include supporting reasons therefor.

  • Grievance Representatives Within 30 working days after the execution of this Agreement, the Union shall furnish the Xxxxxxx with a list of all persons authorized to act as the Chapter and UPI Local Grievance Representatives and shall update the list as changes occur. The designated Chapter Grievance Representative shall be an employee of the University and shall have the responsibility to meet classes, office hours, and other assigned duties and responsibilities. If the responsibilities of the Chapter Grievance Representative require rescheduling of the representative's University duties, the representative may, with the approval of the Xxxxxxx, arrange for the rescheduling of such duties or their coverage by colleagues. Such approval shall not be unreasonably withheld. The provisions of Article 15.4. shall also apply to the UPI Local Grievance Representative if he or she is an employee of the University.

  • Supervisors Working (a) The work of Supervisors will not include assignment to work normally performed by employees of the bargaining unit except for training or demonstration. “Training or demonstration” shall not be used as a subterfuge for the performing of any bargaining unit work. Any claimed abuses will be referred to the Grievance Procedure. Where possible, the shop xxxxxxx will be notified. Supervisors will not perform bargaining unit work until after all rea- sonable efforts have been exhausted to have the work covered.

  • Professional Development Days Upon request, each Employee shall be granted at least three (3) professional development days annually for professional development, at the Basic Rate of Pay. An Employee shall be advised, prior to taking any professional development days of any transportation, registration fees, subsistence and other expenses that will be paid by the Employer. Such hours not used in each fiscal year shall not be carried forward into subsequent years. Applications for such paid professional development opportunities shall be made in writing, to the Employer as early as possible.

  • Business Representative You and your Representative individually affirm to Stripe that (a) your Representative is authorised to provide User Information on your behalf and to bind you to this Agreement; and (b) your Representative is an executive officer, director, senior manager or otherwise has significant responsibility for the control, management or direction of your business. Stripe may require you or your Representative to provide additional information or documentation demonstrating your Representative’s authority.

  • Grievance Representative Employees presenting a grievance under Step 2 shall be represented by a representative of the Union.

  • Supervisors Supervisors may continue to perform bargaining unit work which is incidental to their jobs. They may also perform bargaining unit work in emergency situations and where such work is necessary to train a covered member. Such work by supervisors may result from but shall not cause any layoffs of covered members.
