Implementation of Vacation Accrual Ceiling. In order to provide a grace period in relation to the vacation accrual implementation and ceiling, employees will have the option of a 1-time MOU implementation cash-out, at which time employees may elect a cash-out of accrued Vacation Leave down to a maximum accrual of 240 (40 hour employee) or 336 (56 hour employee) hours. Employees will not be required to use any Vacation Leave in order to elect this 1-time implementation cash-out.

Implementation of Vacation Accrual Ceiling. In order to provide a grace period for employees to plan the use of Vacation Leave so Vacation Leave banks are reduced to a manageable level for the employee, two mechanisms may be used individually or in combination: (1) a one-time cash- out of up to 40 hours of accrued Vacation Leave time in February 2008, and (2) the use of Vacation Leave time prior to March 2, 2008. As such, between the effective date of this Memorandum of Understanding and February 29, 2008, all employees have the responsibility for submitting vacation leave requests and utilizing leave time in a manner that allows them to not reach the Vacation Accrual Ceiling on March 2, 2008. All employees who are at the Maximum Accrual Level or who may reach the Maximum Accrual Level shall utilize the “Cash-Out” and/or “Vacation Leave” options so as to NOT exceed the Vacation Accrual Ceiling. Other than exceptions granted based upon City and/or Departmental needs as approved by both the Department Director and the City Manager there will no other cash-out of Vacation Leave time beyond the Maximum Accrual rates that have been established.

The maximum number of hours to be cashed shall not exceed a total of 106 hours, (2) the scheduled use of Vacation Leave time prior to January 1, 2009. As such, between the effective date of this Memorandum of Understanding and January 1, 2009, all employees have the responsibility for submitting vacation leave requests and utilizing leave time in a manner that allows them to not reach the Vacation Accrual Ceiling on January 1, 2009. During the third year of the contract, after January 2010, the City and CMPA agree to meet and discuss the implementation of the vacation leave program and related issues. All employees who are at the Maximum Accrual Level or who may reach the Maximum Accrual Level shall utilize the “Cash-Out” and/or “Vacation Leave” options so as to NOT exceed the Vacation Accrual Ceiling. Other than exceptions granted based upon City and/or Departmental needs as approved by both the Chief of Police and the City Manager, there will no other cash-out of Vacation Leave time beyond the Maximum Accrual rates that have been established.

  • Vacation Accrual Rates Laid off employees who are re-employed shall have the vacation accrual rate they held immediately prior to layoff restored.

  • Accumulation of Vacation Vacation leave may be accumulated to any amount provided that once during each fiscal year, each supervisor's accumulation must be reduced to two hundred and seventy-five (275) hours or less. If this is not accomplished on or before the last day of the fiscal year, the amount of vacation shall automatically be reduced to two hundred seventy-five (275) hours at the end of the fiscal year. Supervisors on a Military Leave under Appendix I shall earn vacation leave as though actually employed, without regard to the maximum accumulation set forth above. Vacation earned in excess of the maximum accumulation shall be taken within two (2) years of the date the supervisor returns from the Military Leave.

  • Maximum Vacation Accrual Employees may accrue vacation up to a maximum of two hundred forty (240) hours. An employee who has reached the maximum accrual level may continue to accrue vacation until his or her next anniversary date, at which time any vacation accrued in addition to the two hundred forty (240) hour maximum accrual will be extinguished. With the written approval of the appropriate Vice President, an employee may accrue more than two hundred forty (240) hours of vacation when he or she is precluded from taking a previously scheduled vacation because of University needs. Any such written approval will specify a timeline for the employee to use any excess vacation accrual, after which any excess vacation accrual will be extinguished.

  • Accumulation of Vacation Leave Credits 31.1.1 An employee shall earn in respect of each fiscal year, annual vacation leave with pay at the following rates for each calendar month in which the employee receives at least seventy-five (75) hours’ pay:

  • Vacation Accrual Regular employees shall accrue hours of vacation with pay for each hour of compensation to a maximum of eighty (80) hours per biweekly work period according to the following schedule, commencing with the employee's hire date of his latest period of County employment.

  • Accumulation of Vacation Leave An employee who has earned at least ten (10) days' pay for each calendar month of a vacation year shall earn vacation leave of:

  • Vacation Accumulation (a) Vacations are not cumulative from year to year.
