Information Resolution. Any employee who believes he/she has a complaint shall present the concern orally to the immediate supervisor within fifteen (15) days after the complainant knew, or reasonably should have known, of the circumstances which form the basis for the complaint. Failure to do so renders the complaint null and void. The supervisor shall hold discussion and attempt to resolve the concern. It is the intent of this informal meeting that at least one personal conference be held between the concerned employee and the immediate supervisor. 21.10.1 Complaints shall be processed in accordance with the following steps: STEP I - If the concern is not settled during the informal discussion and the employee wishes to press the matter, the employee shall present the complaint in writing to the immediate supervisor and cc’ing the Superintendent within seven (7) days after the receipt of complaint. The written complaint shall include: 1. A description of the specific grounds of the complaint including names, dates and places necessary for a complete understanding of the complaint. 2. A listing of the provisions in his/her Contract which are alleged to have been violated or misapplied. 3. A listing of the reasons why the immediate supervisor’s proposed resolution of the problem is unacceptable; and 4. A listing of specific actions requested of the District which will remedy the complaint.
