Common use of INJURY ON DUTY Clause in Contracts

INJURY ON DUTY. 11.5.1 When a bargaining unit member is injured on duty and a bargaining unit member is able to perform light duty, the Agency shall make every reasonable effort to place said bargaining unit member in an assignment of light duty so as to not cause him/her to expend his/her sick leave account. The Agency may require the bargaining unit member to provide a Physician's Certificate regarding his fitness to return to his or her regular duty assignment at anytime.
