Interpretive Activities. 1. Subject to the terms and conditions of a separate lease agreement with the Corps, the Foundation may offer habitat protection, outdoor education and recreation facilities including the interpretive trails, educational signage, public docks and boardwalks and shoreline protection and enhancements as generally outlined in Activity 1 of the NLCF Energy and Natural Resources Trust Fund (ENRTF) 2019 Proposal (ENRTF ID 252-G) and the Land Use Application submitted to the Corps on 07 August 2018, as amended.
2. The Foundation may offer educational and interpretive services which support the missions of the Corps and/or the Cross Lake Recreation Area. This includes assisting, planning, designing, implementing and conducting interpretive and educational programs, activities and exhibits.
3. The Foundation may offer scientific, research, maintenance and/or other services which support the mission of the Corps and their natural resource management mission. This includes assisting, planning, designing, implementing and conducting scientific and/or maintenance programs, activities and exhibits.
4. The Foundation will cooperate with the Corps in the following activities as necessary:
a. Produce and make available to visitors by sale or free distribution, suitable interpretive and educational literature and aids to increase the visitors understanding and appreciation of the natural history, cultural, historical, and man-made features of the project area (or other Corps site) and the Corps of Engineers.
b. Acquire specimens and/or objects, through appropriate means, including permits if necessary, pertaining to the history, cultures, environment, or recreational activities of the project area for the purpose of adding them to the exhibits or programs at the Cross Lake Recreation Area and assist in preservation programs as appropriate.
c. Assist in the development and improvement of interpretive devices, and educational materials including signs, exhibits, materials, and audio-visual aids.
d. Assist in the sponsorship and coordination of professional workshops, training opportunities and special events.
e. Assist in all practical ways the interpretive, educational and community programs of the Corps and the Cross Lake Recreation Area for the benefit of the American public.
Interpretive Activities. 1. The Association may offer educational and interpretive services which support the mission of the Corps and/or the project. This includes assisting, planning, designing, implementing and conducting interpretive and educational programs, activities and exhibits. (Delete if inappropriate.)
2. The Association may offer scientific, research, maintenance and/or other services which support the mission of the Corps and their natural resource management program. This includes assisting, planning, designing, implementing and conducting scientific and/or maintenance programs, activities and exhibits. (Delete if inappropriate.)
3. The Association will cooperate with the Corps in the following activities: (Delete in total or any parts deemed inappropriate.)
a. Produce and make available to visitors by sale or free distribution, suitable interpretive and educational literature and aids to increase the visitors understanding and appreciation of the natural history, cultural, historical, and man-made features of the project area (or other Corps site) and the Corps of Engineers.
b. Acquire specimens and/or objects pertaining to the history, cultures, environment, or recreational activities of the project area for the purpose of adding them to the exhibitry or programs at Corps visitor centers (or other Corps facilities) and assist in preservation programs as appropriate.
c. Assist in the development and improvement of interpretive devices, and educational materials including signs, exhibits, materials, and audio-visual aids.
d. Assist in the sponsorship and coordination of professional workshops, training opportunities and special events.
e. Assist in all practical ways the interpretive, educational and community programs of the Corps and the project (or other Corps site) for the benefit of the American public.
Interpretive Activities. Collaborate with the NPS to negotiate a separate legal instrument(s) (i.e. Interpretation and Education Services Agreement) to authorize formal interpretation as defined in Director’s Order 6:

2. The Friends may offer scientific, research, maintenance and/or other services which support the mission of the Corps and their natural resource management program. This includes assisting, planning, designing, implementing and conducting scientific and/or maintenance programs, activities and exhibits.
3. The Friends may cooperate with the Corps in the following activities:
a. Produce and make available to visitors by sale or free distribution, suitable interpretive and educational literature and aids to increase the visitors understanding and appreciation of the natural history, cultural, historical, and man-made features of the project area and the Corps of Engineers.
b. Acquire specimens and/or objects pertaining to the history, cultures, environment, or recreational activities of the project area for the purpose of adding them to the exhibitry or programs at Corps facilities and assist in preservation programs as appropriate.
c. Assist in the development and improvement of interpretive devices, and educational materials including signs, exhibits, materials, and audio-visual aids.
d. Assist in the sponsorship and coordination of professional workshops, training opportunities and special events.
e. Assist in all practical ways the interpretive, educational and community programs of the Corps and the project for the benefit of the American public.
Interpretive Activities. 1. The Bureau may offer promotional, educational and interpretive services which support the mission of the Corps and the project. This includes promotion, assisting, planning, designing, implementing and conducting interpretive, educational, and recreational programs, activities, exhibits and events.
2. The Bureau will cooperate with the Corps in the following activities:
a. Produce and make available to visitors by sale or free distribution, suitable interpretive and educational literature and aids to increase the visitors’ understanding and appreciation of the natural history, cultural, historical, and man-made features of the project area (or other Corps site) and the Corps of Engineers and other agencies or organizations directly related to fulfilling the Corps mission and strategic vision.
b. Acquire specimens and objects pertaining to the history, cultures, environment, or recreational activities of the project area for the purpose of adding them to the exhibitory or programs at Corps visitor centers (or other Corps facilities), and assist in or develop preservation programs as appropriates. The Huntingdon County Visitors Bureau will assume accountability for any such specimens and objects that they acquire.
c. Assist in the development and improvement of interpretive devices, and educational materials including signs, exhibits, materials, and audio-visual aids.
d. Assist in the sponsorship and coordination of professional workshops, training opportunities and special events.
e. Assist in all practical ways the interpretive, educational and community outreach programs of the Corps, such as Adopt-A-Park, Lake Cleanup Day, Wildlife Habitat Improvements, and other programs for the benefit of the American public.
Interpretive Activities. 1. Interpretive activities engaged in by County and Association must meet U.S. Forest Service standards and be approved by the Forest Supervisor or delegated to another line officer, such as a District Ranger, as defined in the Operating Plan.
2. County and Association personnel shall be available only for the purposes of County and Association ’s interpretive activities.
Interpretive Activities. The County may work with the Association to develop and conduct interpretive activities meeting the U.S. Forest Service standards and approved by the Forest Supervisor or delegated to another line officer, such as a District Ranger.
Interpretive Activities. 1) The Association may offer educational and interpretive services that support the mission of the Corps and/or the project(s). This includes assisting, planning, designing, implementing, and conducting interpretive and educational programs, activities, and exhibits. Listed below are some current areas of support by the Association. These may change at any time with approval by the Association and the Corps.
a) Produce and make available to visitors by sale or free distribution, suitable interpretive and educational literature and aids to increase visitors’ understanding and appreciation of the natural history, cultural, historical, and man-made features of the Projects’ areas (or other Corps site(s)) and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
b) Acquire specimens and/or objects pertaining to the history, cultures, environment, or recreational activities of the project area for the purpose of adding them to the exhibits or programs at Corps visitor centers and assist in preservation programs as appropriate.
c) Assist in the development and improvement of interpretive devices, and educational materials including signs, exhibits, materials, and audio-visual aids.
d) Assist in the sponsorship and coordination of professional workshops, training opportunities and special events.
e) Assist in all practical ways the interpretive, educational and community programs of the Corps and the project for the benefit of the American public.
Interpretive Activities. 1) The CONCESSIONAIRE shall provide all required and authorized services in a manner that is consistent with and supportive of the interpretive themes, goals, and objectives of the Area of Operation.
2) The CONCESSIONAIRE may assist in Area of Operation interpretation, both for fee and non-fee consideration, at the request of the PARK BOARD, in order to enhance visitor enjoyment of the Area of Operation. However, the PARK BOARD reserves the right to enter into agreements with non-profit organizations for supplemental services which are deemed by the PARK BOARD to be part of, and appropriate, to the Area of Operation's interpretive program.
3) The proposed content on any interpretive programs, exhibits, or displays shall be submitted to the PARK BOARD for review and written approval prior to being offered to Area of Operation visitors.
