Common use of Jury Duty and Witness Service Clause in Contracts

Jury Duty and Witness Service. An employee who is called for jury duty or is subpoenaed as a witness in a case to which the employee is not a party, shall be paid during the absence on account of the jury or witness service, salary less the amount of jury or witness fees (exclusive of mileage) the employee is paid or to which the employee is entitled. In accordance with the Hours of Work and Management Rights sections of this Agreement, the SECOMM Manager may modify schedules to assist employees in providing this valuable public service.
