Common use of Jury Duty/Crown Witness Clause in Contracts

Jury Duty/Crown Witness. 13.02 (a) An employee who is selected for service as a juror or summoned as a Crown witness will be compensated for loss of pay from his regularly scheduled shift due to such jury or Crown witness service. Such compensation will be based on his regular hourly rate less the fee received for his services as a juror or Crown witness. However, should the employee present himself for selection as a juror and not be selected, then he is required to return to the plant to complete his remaining normally scheduled work day.
