Jury Leave Upon written request, supported by a copy of the summons, an employee shall be granted leave paid at the rate of her full salary, less what the court pays for the performance of the required duties, to appear for or serve jury duty, provided that such appearance and/or service actually conflicts with her scheduled duties and provided that upon return to work she shall provide her supervisor with written confirmation of the date(s) and time(s) on which she appeared and/or served, signed by an appropriate official of the Court.
Civil Leave Section 1. The Employer recognizes the responsibility of its employees to fulfill their civic duties as jurors and witnesses in court proceedings. The Employer agrees therefore to grant civil leave with pay to permanent employees:

Taking Leave 41.10 An employee may take annual leave in periods agreed between the employer and the employee provided that one (1) of the periods shall be of at least ten (10) working days.
Medical Leave Pursuant to applicable provisions of the Civil Service Rules, County Code, and other law, medical leaves of absence will be granted by the employee’s Department Head upon request only upon submission of a doctor’s certificate or other satisfactory medical evidence of the employee’s need for such leave.
Personal Leave Accrual All employees shall accrue personal leave at the rate of one and twenty-three hundredths (1.23) hours for each eighty (80) hours in active pay status, excluding overtime hours, not to exceed a total of thirty-two (32) hours accrued in one year.

Unused Personal Leave In order to encourage drivers to not use Personal Leave in an effort to minimize the need for substitute drivers and improve the safety, security and welfare of our students, drivers will be reimbursed at their regular rate of pay for any unused Personal Leave. The payment will be included in the driver(’s) first pay in July.
