Kennel Time. In the event a canine is kenneled or hospitalized, the K-9 Officer shall not receive compensation as specified in Section 32.2, nor shall the K-9 Officer fall under the conditions of Section 32.1, during the time of the kenneling or hospitalization.

Kennel Time. An employee who serves as a K9 officer and who has dog with the employee shall be credited with one hour of pay during on duty hours and one hour of pay for time on days when the employee is not scheduled to work for the purpose of K9 servicing.
Kennel Time. Canine Officers shall receive one (1) hour of pay per day for time spent providing care to their canine partner. This hour shall be paid at the officer’s overtime rate on days off, and shall be taken from the officer’s regular work day on working days. It is the intent of the parties that this pay will provide full compensation for all time spent in the care, feeding, and exercising of a City canine, as required under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Kennel Time. 10.1 When a K-9 officer is on scheduled duty, they are allotted a one-hour period of regular duty time designated as kennel time. This can involve caring for the K-9’s needs during the first or last hour of a normally scheduled tour of duty.

  • Travel Time All employees shall be paid travel time allowance per day (as per Appendix A) for each day on which they present themselves for work. The allowance is to be paid for rostered days off and in the case of Apprentices, the days on which they attend trade school, but not payable for either sick leave, annual leave or public holidays. As it is an allowance received during ordinary time, it should also be included in calculations for superannuation contributions.

  • CALL TIME Section 1. Employees who have been called in to work outside of their regular shift schedule shall be paid at the appropriate rate for the hours worked or a minimum of three hours' pay at the employee's regular straight time hourly rate, whichever is greater. Call time pay begins when employees report to their assigned work site ready for work. Employees will be permitted to leave the work site when the work assignment that is the reason for the call time is completed unless the employee's scheduled work shift has commenced. There shall be no duplication of hours or pay.
