Call Time definition

Call Time means two (2) hours minimum at the rate of time and one‐ half (1.5) for those situations in which an employee is instructed to return to work.
Call Time. Any employee called to work outside of his regularly scheduled shift shall be paid for a minimum of two (2) hours at the rate of time and one-half (1.5). If the call time work assignment and the employee's regular shift overlap, the employee shall be paid the call rate of time and one-half (1.5) until his regular shift begins.

  • When a day worker whose shift is from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. is told to go home at 12:00 noon and return at 4:00 p.m. for work, they will receive two (2) hours’ Call Time because the shift was designated at 12:00 noon.
