Lamps. 3.1 Light sources
Lamps. Various type lamps required for street lighting, fire alarm or traffic signals, flashing beacons, directional arrows, warning units, illuminated signs, and floodlights.
Lamps. 2.5.1. Driving-beam (main-beam) headlamp" means the lamp used to illuminate the road over a long distance ahead of the vehicle.
2.5.2. Passing-beam (dipped-beam) headlamp" means the lamp used to illuminate the road ahead of the vehicle without causing undue dazzle or discomfort to oncoming drivers and other road-users.
Lamps a. Lamps, such as but not limited to, fluorescent tubes, compact fluorescent, HID lamps (mercury vapor, metal halide, high-pressure sodium), neon lamps; and any other lamps that are dangerous waste. Fluorescent lamps being referred to as “spent” contain mercury that requires recycling. Lamps shall be treated as Universal Waste. An unused lamp becomes waste on the date the handler decides to discard it.
b. The Contractor(s) shall provide a DOT-approved container as defined in 40 C.F.R. § 273 for safe collection and shipment of lamps.
c. Containers in which lamps are contained must be labeled or marked clearly with any of the following phrases:
i. waste containing lamps"
ii. used mercury containing lamps"
d. Containers shall accommodate 4' to 8' tubes, and odd shaped lamps.
e. Container pickup or delivery shall be scheduled by the respective Authorized User on a “call in” basis. Authorized Users shall allot 5 business days, unless otherwise agreed upon, for container pickup or delivery.
i. Flat rate - Shipments under 750 LBS shall be subject to Contractor flat rate pickup and/or delivery fees as outlined in the Contract.
1. 750 LB shipments may consist of various recyclables within each Contractor’s awarded category.
ii. Weight minimum – shipments that meet or exceed the minimum weight will not incur a transportation fee.
iii. Milk Run discounts for combined pickups must adhere to the following:
1. Milk Run pickup or delivery shall be accepted at the Authorized Users discretion.
2. Discount off of flat rate fee according to Supplier Contract.
3. Pickup or delivery shall be made within 15 calendar days of scheduling.
4. The Authorized User reserves the right to modify a Milk Run pick up or delivery to a flat rate or weight minimum pickup or delivery.
5. Additional modifications to a Milk Run pickup or delivery must be approved by the Authorized User.
6. Pickup or delivery of State goods must be clearly separated and labeled when multiple shipments are loaded on a single truck.
f. Contractor(s) shall provide a mail-back recycling program for small quantity shipments to be used at Authorized User’s request. The Contractor(s) must provide shipping materials and prepaid shipping labels to the requesting Authorized User. The Contractor(s) may invoice the Authorized User according to the approved Contract catalog and discount. Authorized users shall not submit items not included in the mail- back catalog to the vendor for recycling.
Lamps other lighting, appliances, equipment, fixtures and machinery in the Leased Premises demised to Tenants which use electrical energy or water shall be disconnected or switched off other than during hours (i) the Building is required to be open, and (ii) the Tenant is open for business, except if and to the extent necessary to prevent food spoilage or other health hazard, except clocks, and except for items approved in writing as necessary for Tenant's business.
Lamps. (a) The lamps will be of compact fluorescent (CFL) type, either 4-Pin or 2 Pin types with rating of 11W. For the 4-Pin type CFLs a suitable pre- heating circuit must be provided.
(b) The light output from the lamps should be around 600 +/- 5% lumens (for 9W CFL) and 900 +/- 5% lumens (for 11W CFL). Also please see (c) of 6 below.
(c) The lamps should be housed in an assembly suitable for indoor use, with a reflector on its back. While fixing the assembly, the lamp should be held in a base up configuration.
Lamps. The Tenant shall pay throughout the Term promptly to the Landlord when demanded the cost of maintaining and servicing in all respects all electric lighting fixtures in the Leased Premises including the cost of replacement on a group basis or otherwise of electric light bulbs, fluorescent tubes, starters and ballasts installed on commencement of the said Term. Such maintaining, servicing and replacing shall be within the exclusive right of the Landlord and shall be carried out at reasonably competitive rates.

e. Contractor(s) pickup or Authorized User’s delivery dates will be scheduled by the respective Authorized User on a “call in” basis. The pickup of a container must occur within three (3) business days unless a later date is requested by the Authorized User.
f. The Contractor(s) shall be compensated for mileage for services provided under applicable Recycling Categories in accordance with section 6.4 of Terms & Conditions.
g. Contractor(s) shall provide a mail-back recycling program for small quantity shipments per Authorized User’s request. The Contractor(s) must provide shipping materials and prepaid shipping labels to the requesting Authorized User. The Contractor(s) may invoice the Authorized User according to the approved Contract catalog and discount.
