Layoff Recall and Bumping. Layoffs 13.01 (a) Where it becomes necessary to reduce the working force, the most junior seniority employee within the classification, shift and department affected will receive notice of layoff, provided the remaining employee(s) are qualified by virtue of skill and ability to perform the work required. Employees laid off indefinitely from a permanent job will be provided with a minimum of one weeks’ notice in writing.

The Company will endeavour to provide two weeks’ notice of layoff for overhaul periods when such layoff is known in advance.
