The strategies identified through extensive data analysis were intentionally selected to increase access to opportunities for instruction, intervention, mental health services, and credit recovery for all students. Specific strategies including community outreach, home visits, and multi-lingual supports were included to remove anticipated barriers and to identify unanticipated barriers throughout implementation. Description of GEPA Compliance: Hawthorn Academy will invite individually, students in each of the identified areas, the opportunity to participate. Invitations will be distributed through multiple mediums and multiple times. For the extended year program parents will be contacted by email and a personal phone call. Students are allowed to participate even if they cannot attend every day. No student is excluded based on gender, race, color, national origin, disability, and age. Also, the program will be opened to all students should a parent feel that their student needs additional help and additional teachers and TAs paid to meet the needs of students. Scores on valid and reliable reading assessments will be used to group students into small groups so that students are with others at a similar level. In the second identified area, all students identified as ELL will receive support. Additionally, content teachers will work with the ELL support teachers to identify student academic needs. Parents will be asked to allow students to receive support through a letter sent home. If there is no response, a personal phone call will be made to explain the services and support for learning for their student. All communication will be in the parent’s primary language. For tracking of attendance, adults calling parents will identify with parents the barrier to attendance and together create a plan to overcome those barriers.

We will comply with the requirements of Section 427 by paying salaries of staff who will teach our at-risk and Special Education students. The funds will not be used for equipment, but will go toward more time ensuring students have met state standards of proficiency. Students are chosen based upon scores from Acadience Benchmark Assessments, Imagine Math Benchmark Assessment, Imagine Literacy Assessments, etc. The funds may also be used to provide social and emotional support through our counseling and social workers department, which will be available to all students regardless of gender, race, color, national origin, disability or age. Description of GEPA Compliance: Wasatch Peak will use data driven, high quality assessments to identify student needs regardless of gender, race, color, national origin, disability, or age and work to create instruction to meet those specific needs. Wasatch Peak Academy identified students who struggled during the distance learning programs offered in the Spring of 2020 and is providing summer school programs to help them on an as needed basis with certified teachers. Wasatch Peak Academy will target the needs of individual students to address holes in their education in small group and individual tutoring sessions to ensure that each student’s needs are met. Wasatch Peak is offering face to face and distance learning options to students to meet the needs of a variety of family situations. Wasatch Peak is prepared to provide computers and digital meetings via zoom to address the individual needs of students who are struggling academically and are unable to access services in person. Wasatch Peak will offer additional services as needed to students who are not making adequate progress in the provided programs. Wasatch Peak will continue to evaluate and refine programs as needed until all students’ needs are being met.   • ADA Compliance A. The Americans with Disabilities Act (42 U.S.C. § 12101, et seq.) and the regulations thereunder (28 C.F.R. § 35.130) (“ADA”) prohibit discrimination against persons with disabilities by the State, whether directly or through contractual arrangements, in the provision of any aid, benefit, or service. As a condition of receiving this Agreement, the Company certifies that services, programs, and activities provided under this Agreement are and will continue to be in compliance with the ADA.

  • OSHA Compliance To the extent applicable to the services to be performed under this Agreement, Contractor represents and warrants, that all articles and services furnished under this Agreement meet or exceed the safety standards established and promulgated under the Federal Occupational Safety and Health Law (Public Law 91-596) and its regulations in effect or proposed as of the date of this Agreement.

  • General Compliance This Agreement is intended to comply with Section 409A or an exemption thereunder and shall be construed and administered in accordance with Section 409A. Notwithstanding any other provision of this Agreement, payments provided under this Agreement may only be made upon an event and in a manner that complies with Section 409A or an applicable exemption.
