Academic Needs definition

Academic Needs. A teacher is eligible for an increase in salary under this factor if that teacher earns additional content area degree or credit hours beyond the requirement for employment. Eligible content areas are any content area, as defined by the Indiana Department of Education, in which the teacher currently teachers or any other content area as approved by the Superintendent. This factor is limited to 33% of any available increase.

Academic Needs. The salary increase for academic needs is a teacher retention catch-up, defined as the adjustment of the salary of a returning teacher up to the salary amount in 2023-2024 salary scale for a new teacher with equivalent experience and education. Distribution Plan Description: For 2023-2024, the salary schedule has been increased across the board by $4,200. All teachers meeting the evaluation factor will receive this across the board increase to the schedule. New hire placement: Letters on the New Hire Placement Schedule in Section 2 below will equate to a range of years of experience for salary placement.   • Academy means the academy named at the beginning of this Disciplinary Policy and Procedure and includes all sites upon which the academy undertaking is, from time to time, being carried out.

  • Veterinarian means a veterinarian authorized by law to practice veterinary medicine in this State.

  • Adult means a person 18 years of age or older.
