Leave A. Vacation: Employees are entitled to a paid vacation of 96 hours following one year of employment. Accrued vacation may be taken after six months of employment. From the second year of employment until completion of the thirteenth year, employees are entitled to 120 hours of paid vacation. Beginning with the fourteenth year, and every year thereafter, employees are entitled to 160 hours of vacation. Existing Longevity-leave bonus policies will continue in effect and apply to bargaining unit members. Police Department employees - Require a minimum of fourteen (14) days advance approval. In the case of emergency or unforeseen circumstances, the fourteen day notification requirement may be waived by the Chief of Police or designee.
