Police Department Employees. Disciplinary actions and internal investigations involving non-sworn employees who are subject to the Police Department Duty Manual will be administered in accordance with section C1811 of the Duty Manual and the Police Department Discipline Procedures Handbook for Employee Relations Liaisons.

Police Department Employees. An employee, at the employee's option, may report to court when subpoenaed or remain on call. If the employee elects to appear in court, the division supervisor must be notified, at the latest, one administrative day prior to the scheduled court appearance. If the employee wishes to remain on call, the employee must be able to appear in court not more than one hour after being notified that the employee's appearance is required in court. To appear in court more than an hour after having been notified will void the employee's right to on-call compensation. An employee need not remain at home, but must be available for telephonic notification at a location where the supervisor knows the employee can be reached.
Police Department Employees. Current employees and those who are promoted, transferred or reassigned within the Police Department before June 7, 2006, shall continue to receive a paid lunch. However, the Police Chief or his designee shall determine if new employees hired on or after June 7, 2006 except for employees in the Dispatch Center, and Xxxx shall receive a paid lunch.
Police Department Employees. All full-time employees who are required as a condition of employment to acquire and wear uniforms, including the Community Services Officer, Police Dispatcher/Records Technician, Police Property/Evidence Officer, Police Services Assistant, and Senior Police Dispatcher/Records Technician, shall receive a clothing allowance in the amount of six hundred dollars ($600.00) per year, paid proportionately in quarterly installments, and shall be provided to all full-time Police Department employees covered in this unit.
Police Department Employees. This Article will be for AFSCME Employees of the Ottawa Police Department due to the nature of the job duties and level of operations. These articles follow the general contract agreement between AFSCME Local 2819 and The City of Ottawa. For other provisions of the contract not listed in this Article (known as article XVII) the AFSCME Employees of the Ottawa Police Department will follow the language set forth in the general contract agreement between AFSCME Local 2819 and the City of Ottawa. Members of the Ottawa Police Department AFCSME local will adhere to and follow the rules and regulations, as well as the policies set by the Ottawa Police Department including but not limited to the Policy on Outside employment. Failure to comply with policies will be grounds for discipline which will follow the Civil Service Rules of the City.
Police Department Employees. Employees scheduled to work on a holiday who are unable to do so due to illness shall be compensated eight (8) hours of holiday pay and the total number of hours they were scheduled to work deducted from their accrued sick leave. In order to be paid for time while absent from duty on sick leave, the employee must notify his/her immediate supervisor at least one (1) hour prior to the time set for the beginning of his/her regular duties. Notification is defined as actual contact with the supervisor and/or the on-duty watch commander either in-person or over the phone. Calling in to other staff does not meet the notification requirement. In the event an employee becomes ill during his/her vacation period, such time shall not be charged as vacation leave if the following conditions are met: Notice is given immediately to the employee's supervisor or the on-duty watch commander. Xxxx leave will only be granted for those days on which notice is given or which follow notice to the City; and the employee submits a doctor's certificate for the period of sick leave.
