Where expenses to attend such interviews are not met by the prospective employer, the staff member will be entitled to reasonable local travel and other incidental expenses incurred in attending such interviews as determined by the Xxxx/Director (or equivalent).

However, if it is foreseeable that the travel time will cause the employee to exceed forty (40) hours in a workweek, the employee must receive the City’s approval of the overtime. Meals shall be re-reimbursed according to the City’s Travel Policy. Employees who voluntarily attend training that is approved by the City during the employee’s normal work schedule shall only be compensated for their normal work schedule.
