Leave to Work for the Association. If a requested leave of absence for one (1) year or less, of an employee of the University does not interfere with operations covered by this Agreement as determined in the sole discretion of the University, the University shall grant an unpaid leave, without benefits of any kind, to one (1) and only one (1) employee covered by the terms of this Agreement to work for Association on Association business, which may not include work on any matter in which the University is an adversary or which may reasonably be construed as bringing disrepute upon the University. An employee granted leave hereunder shall neither accrue seniority nor shall the time away from the University inure to employee’s benefit as to terms and conditions of employment covered by this Agreement. The Association agrees, without contest, to approve the University’s discretion to effect a layoff of the least senior individual in the job classification of the employee returning to the University, among the University’s options upon the employee’s return to work. There may only be one such leave during the term of this Agreement.

  • Leave of Absence for Employees Who Serve as Local Coordinators for the Ontario Nurses' Association An employee who serves as Local Coordinator for the Ontario Nurses' Association shall be granted leave of absence without pay up to a total of thirty-five (35) days annually. Leave of absence for Local Coordinators for the Ontario Nurses' Association will be separate from the Union leave provided in (a) above.

  • Compliance with Contractor Employee Jury Service Ordinance Contractor shall comply with the County Ordinance with respect to provision of jury duty pay to employees and have and adhere to a written policy that provides that its employees shall receive from the Contractor, on an annual basis, no less than five days of regular pay for actual jury service in San Mateo County. The policy may provide that employees deposit any fees received for such jury service with the Contractor or that the Contractor deduct from the employees’ regular pay the fees received for jury service.

  • Jury Service/Witness Leave 17.1 Employees called on for jury service are required to serve. Where the need is urgent, the Employer may apply for postponement because of particular work needs, but this may be done only in exceptional circumstances.

  • Subcontracting for the Provision of Services (a) The parties acknowledge that, subject to the provisions of LHSIA, the HSP may subcontract the provision of some or all of the Services. For the purposes of this Agreement, actions taken or not taken by the subcontractor, and Services provided by the subcontractor, will be deemed actions taken or not taken by the HSP, and Services provided by the HSP.

  • CIVIL SERVICE RULES Nothing in Section 1 and 2 of this Article shall limit the Director of Human Resources or the appointing authority’s discretion to implement layoffs pursuant to Civil Service Rules.

  • Liability for Failure to Stop Payment of Preauthorized Transfer If you order us to stop one of these payments 3 business days or more before the transfer is scheduled, and we do not do so, we will be liable for your losses or damages.

  • Paid Jury or Court Witness Duty Leave The Employer shall grant leave of absence without loss of seniority to an Employee who serves as a juror or witness in any court. The Employer shall pay such an Employee the difference between normal earnings and the payment received for jury service or court witness, excluding payment for traveling, meals or other expenses. The Employee will present proof of service and the amount of pay received. Time spent by an Employee required to serve as a court witness in any matter arising out of her employment, shall be considered as time worked at the appropriate rate of pay.

  • COMMERCIAL REUSE OF SERVICES The member or user herein agrees not to replicate, duplicate, copy, trade, sell, resell nor exploit for any commercial reason any part, use of, or access to 's sites.
