Leave for Association Activity. A. The State agrees to provide leaves of absence with pay for delegates of the Association to attend Association activities. A total of 175 days of such leave may be used in the year July l, 2018 to June 30, 2019.

Leave for Association Activity. I. Short-Term Leave The University agrees to provide time off without loss of pay for delegates of the Association to attend Association conventions, conferences or educational programs, provided both that the absence will not interfere with the University’s operations under the jurisdiction of this Agreement and that the total amount of time without loss of pay, during the period of this Agreement, shall not exceed a total of ten (10) days during each year of this Agreement. The Association shall request, in writing, approval from the Office of General Counsel to use such leave. Such request shall be made, in writing, no less than two (2) weeks in advance by the Association, specifying the type of Association activity for which time off is sought, the individual(s) to be granted the time off and the maximum amount of time to be utilized.

The State and Division of Criminal Justice agree that the conduct of the internal affairs of the Association is the sole responsibility and right of the officers and members of the Association. The State, Division of Criminal Justice and the Association agree not to discriminate against, interfere with, or coerce any employee in the exercise of his/her right to form, join and assist the Association or to refrain from any such activity. The Negotiations Unit employees shall have the right to exercise its lawful and constitutional prerogatives except as specifically restricted by the Agreement.

  • Leave for Association Business The Hospital agrees to grant leaves of absence, without pay, to nurses selected by the Association to attend Association business including conferences, conventions and Provincial Committee meetings and to any nurse elected to the position of Local Co-ordinator. The cumulative total leave of absence, the amount of notice, the number of nurses that may be absent at any time from one area and the number of days (including those of the Local Co-ordinator) is set out in the Appendix of Local Provisions. During such leave of absence, a nurse's salary and applicable benefits or percentage in lieu of fringe benefits shall be maintained by the Hospital and the local Association agrees to reimburse the Hospital in the amount of the daily rate of the full-time nurse or in the amount of the full cost of such salary and percentage in lieu of fringe benefits of a part-time nurse except for Provincial Committee meetings which will be reimbursed by the Association. The Hospital will bill the local Association within a reasonable period of time. Part-time nurses will receive service and seniority credit for all leaves granted under this Article.

  • Time Off for Association Business 21.01 Upon written request by the Association to the permanent head, and with the approval in writing of the permanent head, leave with pay shall be awarded to an employee as follows:

  • Use of Vacation Leave for Sick Leave Purposes The Employer may allow an employee who has used all of his or her sick leave to use vacation leave for sick leave purposes as provided in Article 12.2 A. An employee who has used all of his or her sick leave may use vacation leave for sick leave purposes as provided in Article 12.2 B – H.

  • Association Leave Days The School Board will provide twenty (20) days to be used as Association Leave Days. The Polk Education Association agrees to reimburse the District for the cost of substitutes.

  • Time Off for Union Activities A. Conventions and Conferences Union-designated employees may be allowed time off without pay to attend union-sponsored conventions or conferences. Approval for the time off must be granted in advance of the absence and in accordance with the Employer’s leave policies. Approval will not be granted if the absence interferes with the Employer’s ability to provide coverage during the requested time off or the operating needs of the agency cannot be met.

  • SICK LEAVE AND LONG-TERM DISABILITY (Articles 12.01 to 12.11 apply to full-time nurses only)

  • Association Leaves 1. The Board will provide the Association President or their designee with forty (40) days of paid released time during the course of the school year in order to conduct Association Business. The Association shall reimburse the Board for the cost of any substitute required as the result of any such released time which exceeds forty (40) days during the course of the school year.

  • Agreement with Respect to Continuation of Group Health Plan Coverage for Former Employees of the Failed Bank (a) The Assuming Institution agrees to assist the Receiver, as provided in this Section 4.12, in offering individuals who were employees or former employees of the Failed Bank, or any of its Subsidiaries, and who, immediately prior to Bank Closing, were receiving, or were eligible to receive, health insurance coverage or health insurance continuation coverage from the Failed Bank ("Eligible Individuals"), the opportunity to obtain health insurance coverage in the Corporation's FIA Continuation Coverage Plan which provides for health insurance continuation coverage to such Eligible Individuals who are qualified beneficiaries of the Failed Bank as defined in Section 607 of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974, as amended (respectively, "qualified beneficiaries" and "ERISA"). The Assuming Institution shall consult with the Receiver and not later than five (5) Business Days after Bank Closing shall provide written notice to the Receiver of the number (if available), identity (if available) and addresses (if available) of the Eligible Individuals who are qualified beneficiaries of the Failed Bank and for whom a "qualifying event" (as defined in Section 603 of ERISA) has occurred and with respect to whom the Failed Bank's obligations under Part 6 of Subtitle B of Title I of ERISA have not been satisfied in full, and such other information as the Receiver may reasonably require. The Receiver shall cooperate with the Assuming Institution in order to permit it to prepare such notice and shall provide to the Assuming Institution such data in its possession as may be reasonably required for purposes of preparing such notice.
