Common use of Legal Leave Clause in Contracts

Legal Leave. a. A teacher called for jury duty shall receive full compensation, but shall return to the corporation any pay he/she received for the jury duty. A teacher is allowed to keep any mileage money he/she may receive for serving on a jury. b. Court leave with pay shall be granted to teachers under subpoena for the time necessary to make appearance(s) in any court proceedings, provided the teacher is not a party in litigation whose interests are adverse to M.S.D. of Xxxxx Township or officials of M.S.D. Xxxxx Township. All monies received by a teacher for witness fees, equal to the amount being paid to the teacher by the Corporation, shall be turned over to the School Corporation. Travel expenses allowed by the court may be retained by the teacher.
