Conflict of Commitment applies to Members whose FTE is greater than, or equal to, eighty (80) percent.

Conflict of Commitment. With the acceptance of a full-time appointment at the University, a Member makes a professional commitment to the University. Members are expected to direct the primacy of their professional commitment to the University. Recognizing that external professional activities can bring benefits to, and enhance the reputation of, the University, and the capacity of Members, the University agrees that Members may engage in part-time professional activities, provided that such activities are not undertaken in conflict with this Agreement and do not conflict or interfere with the Member’s responsibilities to the University as defined in this Agreement.
Conflict of Commitment. Notwithstanding any requirements of confidentiality imposed by this Collective Agreement or to which a Member has agreed, should a Member be concerned that any provisions of this Collective Agreement, or relevant legislation, regulations or policy are not being observed, then that Member may contact the Association's Grievance Officer and/or the Member's Xxxx in confidence regarding such concerns.
Conflict of Commitment. The nature of the professional competence of many Members affords opportunities for the exercise of that competence outside the Member's Responsibilities, on both remunerative and non-remunerative bases. Recognizing that such professional activities can bring benefits to and enhance the reputation of the University and of Members, the Employer agrees that Members may engage in part-time professional activities, paid or unpaid, provided that such activities do not conflict or interfere with the Member's Responsibilities to the Employer as defined in the Article Responsibilities of Members, subject also to the following conditions:
Conflict of Commitment. 20.5.1 Faculty members have the right to engage in outside activities, provided that such activities are arranged so as not to conflict or interfere with the faculty member’s commitment to the University. Further, activities of a substantial or continuing nature must be recorded in the faculty member’s Annual Report. 20.5.2 It is the responsibility of faculty to be alert to the possible effects of their external activities on their obligations to the University. In the event that participation in such external activities conflicts with their obligations to the University, the faculty member must discuss the matter with their Associate Xxxx. A written summary of the discussion, and the agreement reached to by both parties, shall be kept on file.
Conflict of Commitment. The College may not seek to limit the employment of its Employees outside of Xxxxx Xxxx College. Employees must, however, carry out their Xxxxx Xxxx College duties at the times and places specified by the College.

Conflict of Commitment. 18.2.1 W ith the acceptance of a full-time appointment at the University, a Member makes a professional commitment to the University. Full-time Members are expected to direct the primacy of their professional commitment to the University. Recognizing that external professional activities can bring benefits to and enhance the reputation of the University and the capacity of Members, the University agrees that Members may engage in part-time professional activities, paid or unpaid, provided that such activities do not conflict or interfere with the Member’s responsibilities to the University as defined in this Agreement, subject to the following conditions: (a) W hen a Member’s outside activities involve the use of the University’s facilities, supplies and services, their use shall be subject to the prior approval of the University. Costs for such facilities, supplies or services shall be borne by the Member at prevailing rates set by the University, unless the University agrees, in writing, to waive all or part of such costs. (b) The name of the University shall not be used in any related professional activity unless agreed, in writing, by the Vice-Principal (Academic) or Xxxx, although nothing shall prevent the Member from stating the nature and place of her/his University employment, rank and title(s) in connection with related professional activities, provided that she/he shall not purport to represent the University or speak for it without prior authorization, or to have the University’s approval unless that approval has been given in writing. (c) A description of the nature and scope of all significant external professional activity shall be included in the Member’s annual report. Examples of significant activities include, but are not limited to, the following:‌‌ i. Any activity that either alone, or in combination with other activities, exceeds twenty percent (20%) of the time required by the Member’s full-time academic duties; ii. Any activity for which prior permission has been granted; iii. Teaching at another university or institution; iv. Consulting and entrepreneurial activities; v. Activities which are service commitments to an outside body, association or group.

The disclosure shall be in writing and shall include: (a) the nature of the work; (b) an estimate of the time required to perform the work; (c) the extent, if any, of the use of University facilities, supplies, support staff or students; (d) any other external activities that have already been approved in that year or which are continuing from an earlier year; (e) the impact the activity will have on teaching, research, and service responsibilities. 19.4.3 The person to whom the Member reports shall evaluate the request in light of the...
