LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING – LONG TERM DISABILITY INSURANCE. The Employer agrees, effective January 1, 1992, to maintain a "shadow" salary for Employees receiving Long Term Disability benefits, and to make such additional contributions to the York University Pension Plan, on behalf of that Employee. Contributions to the Pension Plan will be at the level of contributions required by the Employer and the Employee for the level of such "shadow" salary. Effective January 1, 1992 "shadow" salary shall mean the base salary of the Employee at the time of commencement of Long Term Disability, increased annually to the lesser of the negotiated increase to Job Rate or the Toronto CPI average for the preceding twelve (12) month period ending August 31. The use of the "shadow" salary shall be solely for the purpose of pension calculations for persons who receive payments from the Long Term Disability Plan and does not pertain to any other clause in the Collective Agreement. The "shadow" salary for those Employees who commenced LTD benefits on or before August 31, 1991 shall be set at the Job Rate in effective September 1, 1991 - August 31, 1992 or the Job Rate that was in effect 1990/91 plus the average Toronto CPI for the preceding twelve (12) months ending August 31, 1991, whichever is the lesser. Such "shadow" salary shall be adjusted annually commencing September 1, 1992 as outlined above. At retirement, Final Average earnings shall be based upon the annual "shadow" salary established, and the Employee shall be credited for Pension Plan purposes with a full year of service for each year for which Pension Plan contributions are made on the "shadow" salary.

  • Long Term Disability Insurance Plan The Employer shall provide a mutually acceptable long-term disability insurance plan, a copy of which shall appear in Appendix “A” – Long-Term Disability Insurance Plan. The plan shall provide post-probationary regular employees with salary continuation as per Appendix “A” until age sixty-five (65) in the event of a disability. The cost of the plan shall be borne by the Employer.

  • Long Term Disability Insurance 250. The City, at its own cost, shall provide to employees a Long Term Disability (LTD) benefit that provides, after a one hundred and eighty (180) day elimination period, sixty percent salary (60%) (subject to integration) up to age sixty-five (65). Employees who are receiving or who are eligible to receive LTD shall be eligible to participate in the City's Catastrophic Illness Program as set forth in the ordinance governing such program.

  • DISABILITY INSURANCE PLAN Management shall expend for active employees of this Unit who are members of LACERS the sum necessary to cover the cost of a basic disability insurance plan. Management shall also maintain a Supplemental Disability Insurance Plan, enrollment in which is at the discretion of each employee. The full cost of the Supplemental Disability Insurance Plan premiums shall be paid by the individual employees who enroll in the plan. The City's Joint Labor-Management Benefits Committee shall determine the benefits and provider of the plan.

  • Short Term Disability Insurance A-3.01 To employees who qualify, the Plan will pay short term disability benefits in an amount that is equal to sixty (60%) percent of weekly salary for a maximum seventeen (17) week benefit period.

  • Disability Insurance The Company shall maintain, at its cost, supplemental renewable long-term disability insurance as agreed to by the Company and the Executive.

  • State Disability Insurance (“SDI”) 215. Employees in the bargaining unit(s) covered by this agreement shall be enrolled in the State Disability Insurance Program. The cost of SDI will be paid by the employee through payroll deduction at a rate established by the State of California Employment Development Department.

  • STATE DISABILITY INSURANCE (SDI) A. All employees covered by this Contract will be covered under the State Disability Insurance (SDI) benefit in lieu of a Non-Industrial Disability Insurance (NDI) and Enhanced Non-Industrial Disability Insurance (ENDI) benefit as follows:

  • Non-Industrial Disability Insurance A. Non-Industrial Disability Insurance (NDI) is a program for State employees who become disabled due to nonwork-related disabilities as defined by Section 2626 of the Unemployment Insurance Code.

  • Supplementary Employment Insurance Benefits (1) Birth mothers who are entitled to maternity leave and who have applied for and are in receipt of Employment Insurance benefits are eligible to receive XXXX Plan payments.

  • Employment Insurance ‌ Employment insurance coverage will be provided during the life of this agreement for regular and auxiliary employees who would, if employed by a private employer, be eligible for such coverage under the provisions of the Employment Insurance Act.
