MANAGEMENT AND UNION COMMITTEE. 34.01 The Employer and the Union agree that their senior representatives will meet to discuss matters of mutual interest, together with a secretary appointed by the Employer. The Chairman of the Union/Management Committee shall be the Vice President, Human Resources or his/her designate. HEALTH AND SAFETY COMMITTEE 35.01 University of Toronto Press is committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment for its employees and to complying with all applicable safety legislation. As part of its Health and Safety program the Press maintains Joint Health and Safety Committees for both its North York and downtown locations. Each of these committees shall include an employee representative elected from within the Bargaining Unit.

The Chairperson of the Union/ Management Committee shall be the Director of Labour Relations or a member of his/ her staff as designated by the Director of Labour Relations. BULLETIN BOARDS The Employer agrees to provide space on bulletin boards marked Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local 3261, for official Union notices on the understanding that such notices will be in keeping with the general spirit and intent of this Collective Agreement.

  • Management Committee The Members shall act collectively through meetings as a "committee of the whole," which is hereby named the "Management Committee." The Management Committee shall conduct its affairs in accordance with the following provisions and the other provisions of this Agreement:

  • Union Committee ‌ The Union shall appoint and maintain a Committee comprising persons who are employees of the Employer, and/or the Senior Union Official, or her/his representative, which shall be known as the Union Committee. The Union at all times shall keep the Employer informed of the individual membership of the Committee.

  • Management Board 6.1 The Management' Board is responsible for the overall strategic direction of the Integrated Service. Its functions and terms of references are set out in Schedule 3 Part I to this Agreement. REGIONAL ADOPTION SERVICE MANAGER

  • UNION MANAGEMENT CONSULTATION COMMITTEE 28.00 The Union and the Employer agree to establish/maintain a Union Management Consultation Committee which shall be comprised of two (2) representatives of the Local Union and two (2) representatives of the Employer. A person designated by the Union and the Employer shall alternate as the Chairperson.

  • Joint Union/Management Committee It shall be appropriate for either the Union or the University to request that a Joint Union/Management committee be convened, with Environmental Health and Safety as a participating member, to discuss health and safety concerns and to explore options for addressing those concerns through appropriate training or other approaches.

  • Union-Management Committee There shall be a union/management committee comprised of four (4) employee representatives appointed by the Union and four (4) employer representatives. The Committee's purpose is to provide and promote effective and meaningful communication of information and ideas and to make joint recommendations on matters of concern. Matters that are properly the subject of an individual grievance will not be discussed at this committee. The Committee will meet quarterly, unless agreed otherwise, at a time and place mutually agreed to provided there is business for their joint consideration. The parties will exchange agenda items at least one (1) week prior to the meeting. The parties further agree the Committee may meet at any time its members mutually agree a meeting should be held. The duties of the Chairperson will be shared by the parties. Copies of the minutes shall be provided to Committee members. The employer agrees to pay for time spent during regular working hours for representatives of the union attending such meetings. The parties may utilize video or teleconferencing services for the purposes of committee members attending committee meetings, where appropriate and available. Neither party can unreasonably deny an initiative to utilize video or teleconferencing services.

  • UNION COMMITTEE AND STEWARDS The Employer the right of the Union to appoint or elect two stewards from the members of the bargaining unit. The stewards shall be full-time employees of the Employer who have completed their probationary period. The Union acknowledges that the stewards must continue to perform their regular duties on behalf of the Employer and that so far as possible, all activities of the stewards will be carried on outside the regular working hours of the stewards unless otherwise mutually agreed by the Employer and the Union. The Employer agrees to a negotiating committee composed of two employees whose function shall be to negotiate renewals of this Collective Agreement as provided in Article The negotiating committee shall be regular full-time employees of the Employer who have completed their probationary period. Such employee members of the committee and stewards shall be paid by the Employer for time used during normally scheduled working hours of the employees in negotiations up to and including all Conciliation proceedings, but excluding any Arbitration proceedings. The Union will notify the Employer of the names of the stewards and the names of the members of the negotiating committee in writing and further agrees to advise the Employer in writing promptly of any change in the same. The Employer shall not be obligated to the stewards or the negotiating committee prior to the receipt of the said names. The Employer agrees to furnish the Union, in writing, with a list of supervisors and to advise the Union, in writing, promptly of any change in the same. Where there are matters of mutual concern and interest that would be beneficial if discussed at a Labour-Management committee Meeting during the term of this Agreement, the following shall apply. An equal number of representatives of each party as mutually agreed shall meet at a time and place mutually satisfactory. A request for such meeting will be made in writing at least one week prior to the date proposed and accompanied by an agenda of matters proposed to be discussed, which shall not include matters that are properly the subject of grievance or matters that are properly the subject of negotiations for the amendment or renewal of this Agreement. A representative attending such meeting shall be paid for wages lost from regularly scheduled hours. A Union staff member may attend as a representative of the Union. Meetings will be held quarterly unless otherwise agreed. It is understood that where full and part-time agreements are separate, there shall be one committee only.

  • Education Committee (a) The Employer will establish an Education Committee for all employees in the facility, which shall include at least one representative from ONA members.
