MANDATORY PROFESSIONAL TRAINING. 1. The Municipal Employer agrees to reimburse the cost of lodging to employees while attending mandatory training sessions if the traveled distance exceeds One Hundred (100) miles one way. In addition, when traveling to attend such mandatory sessions, all mileage and cost of meals shall be reimbursed when appropriate receipts are submitted. Such reimbursement(s) shall be made as follows: • Mileage shall be reimbursed from the treatment plant; • Meal reimbursement shall be limited to Fifteen Dollars ($15) per person for lunch, Twenty-five Dollars ($25) for dinner when applicable, for overnight stays. Meal reimbursements require receipts and no costs for alcohol shall be reimbursed. • Carpooling shall be utilized whenever possible when attending classes off site from Wastewater premises. The City will make every attempt to supply a vehicle for commuting purposes. If a vehicle is not available, employees may use their own vehicle for carpooling purposes and shall be reimbursed. If, due to personal reasons, an employee must utilize his/her personal vehicle, the employee may not be eligible for mileage reimbursement. • In the event that an employee is scheduled to work the night shift just prior to attending a mandatory training session, s/he shall be exempt from working the last eight (8) hours of that shift. In the event an employee is scheduled to work the 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM shift the day of the training class, the employee shall be granted four (4) hours off at the beginning of said shift. Under this condition, the employee shall receive only forty (40) hours pay for the week, rather than the usual forty-two (42) hours.

  • Additional Training Should the introduction of new methods of operation create a need for the perfection or acquisition of skills requiring a training period longer than one (1) year, the additional training time shall be a subject for discussion between the Board and the Union.

  • Professional Development Reimbursement Management will provide reimbursement for approved professional development expenses for Lieutenants and Sergeants. Funds may be used for the purpose of improving job performance, maintaining and increasing proficiency, preparing Lieutenants and Sergeants for greater responsibility, or increasing promotional opportunities. Management must approve of the specific professional development request in advance. Denial will require written notification to the requesting Lieutenant or Sergeant.

  • Annual Training The Governing Board shall receive initial training and annual training thereafter. Pursuant to O.C.G.A §20-2-2072 and relevant State Board rules, the training shall include, but not be limited to, best practices on school governance, the constitutional and statutory requirements relating to public records and meetings, and the requirements of applicable statutes and rules and regulations.

  • Board Member Training Within 90 days after the Effective Date, each member of the Board of Directors shall receive at least two hours of training. This training shall address the corporate governance responsibilities of board members, and the responsibilities of board members with respect to review and oversight of the Compliance Program. Specifically, the training shall address the unique responsibilities of health care Board members, including the risks, oversight areas, and strategic approaches to conducting oversight of a health care entity. This training may be conducted by an outside compliance expert hired by the Board and should include a discussion of the OIG’s guidance on Board member responsibilities.‌ New members of the Board of Directors shall receive the Board Member Training described above within 30 days after becoming a member or within 90 days after the Effective Date, whichever is later.

  • Professional Dues The school district will pay the annual dues for the Superintendent’s membership in the American Association of School Administrators, Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, and Nebraska Council of School Administrators. The Superintendent’s membership in other professional organizations will be considered annually and may be approved at the discretion of the school board.

  • Driver Training A. All drivers are to be provided with appropriate training and refresher courses each year in the following areas as a minimum: * Proper use of equipment including communications equipment; * Defensive driving; * Emergency and accident procedures; * Identifying unusual passenger behavior; * Student harassment and bullying; * Conducting evacuation drills; * Sensitivity training in working with disabled persons; * Human relation skills in working with parents, school staff, etc; * General vehicle maintenance and pre-trip inspections; and * Map reading and city street coordinates. The Department of Business and Transportation Services may review Contractors’ bus driver training program, upon request.

  • Off the Job Training Where it is agreed that an employee undertakes job related training provided by the Employer or by a Third Party, that training may be undertaken either on or off the job. Where courses are available during normal working hours, the employee has first option of attending training at these times. If such training is undertaken during normal working hours, the employee concerned will not suffer any loss of pay. Where the Employer requires an employee to undertake mandatory job related training after hours, single time rates shall apply. Any costs associated with standard fees for prescribed courses and prescribed textbooks (except those textbooks which are available in the Employer's technical library) incurred in connection with the undertaking of training will be reimbursed by the Employer upon production of evidence of such expenditure. Provided that reimbursement will also be on an annual basis subject to the presentation of reports of satisfactory progress. Travel costs incurred by an employee undertaking training in accordance with this clause which exceed those normally incurred in travelling to and from work will be reimbursed by the Employer.
