Maternity Leave Entitlement. a) A staff member who is the birth mother of a newborn child is entitled to seventeen (17) consecutive weeks of maternity leave without pay, beginning no earlier than eleven (11) weeks before the expected birth date, and no later than the actual week of the birth.
