MEALS AND MILEAGEAn employee authorized to use their motor vehicle to attend an approved function shall be reimbursed at the federal mileage rate for the round-trip distance, calculated via the most direct route from the campus to the destination, plus the distance necessarily accumulated while attending the event, plus parking, road and bridge tolls paid along the route. Employees may submit receipts for meals purchased while attending an approved function, or may claim meal allowances at the approved federal rate for the region in which meals were purchased.

MEALS AND MILEAGE. Increase rates for meals and mileage for overnight travel trips: Breakfast $6 $10 Lunch $8 $15 Dinner $11 $25 X. Xxxx and Emergency Leave - Twelve (12) days per year of illness, injury, pregnancy/childbirth, or emergency leave shall be granted. Absence for more than five (5) consecutive days under sick leave may require a doctor's letter of confirmation. Each employee's portion of unused sick leave allowance shall accumulate from year to year to a maximum of 180 days, after an employee has accumulated 180 days they may sell back days earned over 180 at the rate of 4 to 1, if the employee does not sell back the excess days they will be lost. An emergency leave shall be defined as an event which requires the personal attention of the employee, and proper planning would not have avoided the need for using school time. It should be a situation which is not anticipated and is suddenly precipitated. All emergency leave taken under these conditions will be deducted from the employees accumulated sick leave. The employee will make every effort to notify their supervisor as early as possible prior to taking the leave. 1. Upon retirement, each eligible current employee may elect to convert their accumulated sick leave, up to 180 days, to a VEBA III plan,or should the legislature revoke sick leave to VEBA 3, monitary compensation. (2013) a. In order to assist in the budgeting process, an employee who wishes to participate in the VEBA III plan, or monetary compensation are strongly encouraged to inform the District in writing of their intent to retire by May 15 of the year prior to their year of retirement. Notification of retirement will not be binding to an employee. b. The rate of conversion shall be one day for each four (4) days of annual accumulated unused sick leave available as of January 1. c. Should the legislature revoke the sick leave conversion to VEBA III benefit upon retirement, the District would allow employees the annual sick leave buy back option at the conversion rate of one day for each four days of annual accumulated sick leave beyond 60 days to a maximum of 12 days. 2. Bereavement Leave - Each employee shall be granted up to five (5) days of bereavement leave per year for family or persons with whom an equivalent relationship exists. Additional days beyond the five (5) shall be deducted from sick leave.

  • Mileage Any bargaining unit member required to use his/her vehicle on District business shall be reimbursed at the rate established by the District for all miles driven on behalf of the District. The mileage computation shall include mileage necessary to return to the employee’s normal job site after the completion of District business. This amount shall be payable in a separate warrant prepared for processing in accordance with procedures of the office of the County Superintendent of Schools.
