Meat Clerk. Meat Clerks will perform those duties in the meat, service deli and self- service deli areas of the store not otherwise reserved to Meat Cutters in Paragraph 5.7 above. In addition, the Meat Clerk may keep the counter neat and clean; fill the counter and replace trays of meat including boating; wait on the trade; collect money; give change; excluding production, may cut a steak or roast which has already been processed by a Meat Cutter to size in order to serve a customer; and modify and prepare a cut to suit a customer; use the slicing machine, cube steak machines, and small front-end grinders. Meat clerks may perform commercial bakery work. Meat Clerks hired prior to October 4, 2004, working in service meat departments, shall receive a twenty-five cents (25¢) per hour premium in addition to their regular straight-time hourly wage rate.

Meat Clerk. A Meat Clerk is a person who is engaged in handling, pricing, displaying and otherwise servicing the "cold deli section" which includes lunch meats, cheeses, tortillas, etc., where applicable; and may perform work in the designated service area where meat, poultry, fish, and sea food are dispensed to customers on an employee service basis rather than a self-service basis. It is agreed the Company will be free to transfer employees in the meat clerk classification into meat wrapper or meat cutter jobs.

Meat Clerk. Meat Clerk assigned to perform any cutting with a knife or power saw on meat or poultry, or to operate the meat grinder, shall be paid Journeyman Meat Cutter rates, or such other rate as may be agreed to by the Co-operative and the Union. The foregoing shall not apply when such work is performed while serving a customer. A Meat Clerk shall not be required to lift in excess of thirty-five (35 lbs) pounds at any one time during the performance of their duties.
