MEAT CUTTERS. 4.01 A meat cutter is an employee who can break down carcasses and process them into retail cuts to the Company's standards, and who spends over 50% of his time cutting meat. 4.02 The following Meat Cutters will be appointed: (a) One (1) meat cutter in stores over $119,682. (b) Two (2) meat cutters in stores over $193,261. When the store volume requires a Meat Chief Clerk to be appointed, he will be considered one (1) of the two (2) cutters required by this subsection. (c) Three (3) meat cutters in stores over $335,133, one of which will be the Meat Chief Clerk. (d) Four (4) meat cutters in meat departments with a weekly volume in excess of $153,659, one of which will be the Meat Chief Clerk. (e) Article 4.02 shall only apply to employees of meat cutter classifications hired prior to July 1, 1994.

(b) Displaced Meat Cutters who did not obtain employment in such Central Meat Cutting Operation would be allowed to "bump" into other classifications in this Agreement based upon their seniority and ability to satisfactorily perform the work involved.

(b) Two (2) meat cutters in stores over $189,658. When the store volume requires a Meat Chief Clerk to be appointed, he will be considered one (1) of the two (2) cutters required by this subsection. (c) Three (3) meat cutters in stores over $328,884, one of which will be the Meat Chief Clerk. (d) Four (4) meat cutters in meat departments with a weekly volume in excess of $150,793, one of which will be the Meat Chief Clerk. (e) Article 4.02 shall only apply to employees of Meat Cutter classifications hired prior to November 1, 1994. (f) Article 4.02 shall not apply to new stores that open after January 13, 2002 and to "B" stores which convert to "A" stores after January 13, 2002. 4.03 In the event the Company opens a Central Meat Cutting Operation in the area covered by this Agreement: (a) Any Meat Cutter displaced by such operation would be given first opportunity for employment in such operation.
