Common use of Medical Care Leave Clause in Contracts

Medical Care Leave. An Employee who is able to substantiate that they are unable to make the necessary arrangements to attend Medical Doctor (M.D.) appointments and medical tests ordered by a licensed Medical Doctor (M.D.) for their own personal medical care, outside of their scheduled work time shall be allowed to use their accumulated sick leave credits up to a maximum of ten (10) hours per calendar year, for the time necessary to attend the doctor’s office. On request, Employees shall be required to show proof of such attendance.
