Medical Supplies outpatient disposable. Outpatient disposable Medical Supplies means disposable medical supplies that are prescribed by a physician for outpatient use; are usable only by the Member for whom they are prescribed; have no further use when the medical need ends; and are not primarily for comfort or hygiene, environmental control, or exercise.

Medical Supplies. The Plan provides Benefits for medical supplies furnished by a Provider in the course of delivering Medically Necessary services. This Benefit does not apply to bandages and other disposable items that may be purchased without a prescription even if available by prescription, except for syringes which are Medically Necessary for injecting insulin or a drug prescribed by a Physician.
Medical Supplies. Medical Supplies are routine expendable supplies that are essential to carry out the course of treatment for an Illness or Injury or are necessary for the effective use of Durable Medical Equipment. Medical Supplies include, but are not limited to the following:  Catheter and catheter supplies – urinary catheters, drainage bags, irrigation trays;  Colostomy bags (and other ostomy supplies);  Dressing/wound care-sterile dressings, ace bandages, sterile gauze and toppers, Xxxxx and Kerlix rolls, Telfa pads, eye pads, incontinent pads, lamb’s wool pads;  Elastic stockings; and  Splints and slings.
Medical Supplies. Business Manager shall order, procure, purchase ---------------- and provide on behalf of, and as agent for, Practice all necessary and reasonably desirable medical supplies and optical dispensary supplies and inventory unless otherwise prohibited by federal and/or state law, and shall appropriately respond to any reasonable inquiries or requests by Physicians for the need to order or repair such supplies. Business Manager shall ensure that the Office is adequately stocked at all times with medical supplies that are reasonably necessary or appropriate for the operation of Practice and required for the provision of Medical Services and optical dispensary supplies and inventory that are reasonably necessary or appropriate for the operation of the Dispensary Business. The ultimate oversight, supervision and ownership of all medical supplies is and shall remain the sole responsibility of Practice. As used in this Section 4.2, the term "medical supplies" shall mean all drugs, pharmaceuticals, products, substances, items or devices whose purchase, possession, maintenance, administration, prescription or security requires the authorization or order of a licensed health care provider or requires a permit, registration, certification or other governmental authorization held by a licensed health care provider as specified under any federal and/or state law.
Medical Supplies. A NTP provider who is enrolled as a Medi-Cal fee-for-service provider shall not seek reimbursement from a beneficiary for SUD treatment services, if the NTP provider bills the services for treatment of concurrent health conditions to the Medi-Cal fee-for-service program.
