Minimum Work Availability. The minimum work availability for per-diem/hourly Nurses is four (4) shifts per four (4) week period. If a Nurse withdraws availability, the shift does not count towards the minimum requirement. All hourly staff, once scheduled, are expected to honor the commitment, with the exception of illness or serious emergency. If a Nurse is unable to report to work as scheduled, the nurse shall notify the Staffing Office or their Supervisor at least two (2) hours in advance of the scheduled shift.

The Employer may require employees in Nonpermanent positions to provide at least a minimum number of available hours or shifts each week, month or schedule block to include available weekend and holiday hours. Employees out of compliance may have their appointment terminated. Appointments may also end due to a lack of work.
